Hey new ID fellows! Last year, I published a handbook written in Q/A format for those new to the ID service. Below is a link with some sample pages- if helpful, consider seeing if the full book is available in your library or by purchase! books.google.com/books?hl=en…
It's official - super excited to start a K23 from @NIH @NIAIDFunding on MDR Candida in the ICU! Couldn't have done this without my mentor @SuperBugDoc @HMH_IDfellow, co-mentors @ImmunoDocs Mike Lorenz, and just a few dozen other people. Looking forward to the next 5+ years!

Disparities in Unilateral Do Not Resuscitate Order Use... : Critical Care Medicine journals.lww.com/ccmjournal/…
As if it isn't bad enough that unilateral DNR orders even exist (who else hasn't heard of this?) very troubling that they are being used primarily for Spanish speaking and Black patients

Today at @HMH_IDfellow case conference we heard a case of murine typhus.
@SuperBugDoc was the first discussant and after reminding us that Occam's razor doesn't apply in immunocompromised patients he nailed the dx!

Finally getting around to posting this abscess I got to drain last week - easily the best abscess I’ve ever witnessed in person. This cow walked out of the chute feeling much better! #VetMed #CowVet #EatBeef #Abscess #VetMedTwitter #VetTwitter
