Early Dokken on German TV, January 1982, a year before their US debut, young and short-haired in striped shirts, back when Don Dokken still played guitar too.
Here’s the thing about this “Paris Is Burning”, you can barely hear George Lynch’s guitar the entire song. A pickup “malfunction,” they say.
One of metal’s great guitarists, nearly silent for the whole performance. Don’s guitar, though? Comes through perfectly.

Jason Becker was one of the most gifted guitarists of his generation. At 20 he joined David Lee Roth’s band, then ALS struck, and doctors gave him five years.
More than 35 years later, he’s still here, composing with his eyes.
In 2024, Nita Strauss gathered 20+ guitar heroes for a benefit track built on one of his old demos, with his own solo left in. All for the Jason Becker Special Needs Trust.

Jimmy Fallon says he canceled a week show because of his mother’s death
‘My mother Gloria passed away recently I cancelled our shows last week to go be with my family and make arrangements, she was the best audience she was the one I was always trying to make laugh and she was such a fan of the show’
‘When we were little my mom will walk us to this store me and my sister and will hold our hands and she would squeeze my hands three times and say I love you and I will squeeze back I love you too, and last week I was in the hospital and I grabbed her hands and squeezed I love you I just knew we were in trouble’
‘But I feel so grateful to be able to do this I’m very appreciative of all the support that my family received for the past week, we are gonna continue to work really hard to bring some light and some laughter into the world’

Pachelbel's Canon in D gives the cello the same eight notes over and over, and Rob Paravonian, who got stuck playing them, has not gotten away from them since.
He counted the A coming around fifty four times, and he figures Pachelbel must have dated a cellist who dumped him.
He thought quitting the cello would end it. Then his stepnephew's eighth grade graduation played Vitamin C's "Graduation" and there they were again. He got in the car and Aerosmith's "Cryin'" was doing it too, so he switched to folk and got "One Tin Soldier."
After that he gave up fighting it and started naming them: Blues Traveler's "Hook," Green Day's "Basket Case," Matchbox Twenty's "Push," Better Than Ezra's "Good," Bush's "Machinehead," U2's "With or Without You," Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn," Avril Lavigne's "Sk8er Boi," Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It," the Laverne and Shirley theme, Bob Marley's "No Woman, No Cry," and the Beatles' "Let It Be."
