Well, folks, this thing stinks. Scott Moe's Minister of Advanced Education sublet his taxpayer-funded office to a Sask. Party donor — and it looks like he did so for nearly eight years. We have so many questions and few answers. ➡️ Did the Premier know about this? ➡️ Was the Conflict of Interest Commissioner informed? ➡️ Was the Privacy Commissioner informed? ➡️ What steps were taken to ensure that the privacy of those people accessing a constituency office was protected? ➡️ Why did the Minister accept donations from his tenant? ➡️ Did the Minister recuse himself from any cabinet or Caucus discussion involving this law firm? ➡️Why did the Minister ignore the directives of the Legislative Assembly? ➡️ Will the Minister release the lease agreement? We will be demanding answers today. And if Scott Moe thinks he can brush this under the rug and hope it goes away, he's sorely mistaken. cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatche…

@MattloveNDP asked the Minister if he would stay in the hallway at the RUH for one night (a challenge presented by a constituent who was in the hallways for SIX nights), @jeremycockrill said "no thanks"

Had the absolute pleasure of standing in the Legislature today to give props to the @BlueJays as they head back to the World Series for the first time in 32 years. A poem for the Blue Jays: “‘Twas the day before Game 1 and all through this house…” #WANTITALL

We owe it to future generations to rebuild healthcare from the ground up. That means listening to people and putting communities first. Healthcare decisions should be made by the people on the frontlines and in the communities who live this every single day. Saskatchewan has a legacy of pursuing bold ideas in healthcare when others would not. We’ve done it before. We can do it again. It’s your healthcare, have your say — YourCareYourSay.ca

Eight doctors have left Moose Jaw in the past year alone. Currently, there is not a single doctor accepting new patients in Moose Jaw (we called them all). Saskatchewan was the birthplace of Medicare and then the Sask. Party abandoned it. It's been 18 years and the state of healthcare is getting worse. We're now last in Canada on surgical wait times, emergency room wait times, and more. Healthcare is broken. The Sask. Party broke it. They can't be trusted to fix it. We need change. We need a government willing to do what it takes to build a future for this province where every person has access to healthcare, when and where we need it.

Half of our water bombers sat on tarmac while the North burned due to Sask Party incompetence. Moe left federal help on the table while thousands were evacuated. Now his first trip North is to golf with donors? Moe taking pointer’s from Trump’s mar-a-largo style governing?
After ignoring the North while it burns, Scott Moe and his tired and arrogant SaskParty are finally up North … golfing at Waskesiu and begging money from donors. You’d think Moe would make it to Denare Beach, East Trout Lake or Sucker River before golfing. #skpoli

New data released this morning shows Saskatchewan’s agricultural exports to the United States have plummeted 16.5 per cent, energy exports have dropped 13.4 per cent and forestry product exports have fallen nearly 24 per cent. Scott Moe’s response? To stand down and let Trump continue to hammer our economy with no response. These are Saskatchewan peoples' jobs, their livelihoods, their futures. Saskatchewan, you deserve better. You deserve good-paying jobs and a government that’s focused on building the future to deliver them.

The 35 per cent tariffs imposed by Donald Trump are a slap in the face. Scott Moe tried to downplay this earlier this week as only hammering six per cent of our exports, but this is 100 per cent of some peoples’ jobs. Our elbows have to stay up. We have cards to play because we have the resources the world needs. American booze must come back off the shelves immediately and the work to outlaw contracts with American companies should actually get moving now. This isn’t a time for the weak and slow leadership of Scott Moe. Let’s build our economic future. Let’s build big, gamechanging infrastructure. Let’s stop pandering to Trump’s America and focus on a future that we control.

Just like that, within hours, the feds have approved 300 firefighters to help protect communities in the North. Why did it take the Sask. Party nearly two months to ask? Why did they sit on their hands while entire communities burned?

BRAND NEW WATER BOMBER SECRETLY GROUNDED DURING WORST WILDFIRES IN A DECADE A Thread… Scott Moe Claimed Bomber Had Not Been Delivered, Photos & Flight Data Show It Sitting At La Ronge Airport (1)

Unprecedented wildfires, not seen in a decade in the North. People have lost their homes. More than 15,000 were forced from their communities. And Scott Moe was either misrepresenting the facts on the ground or completely missing in action. Today, we’ve revealed the Sask. Party government’s newly purchased multi-million-dollar water bomber secretly sat idle in La Ronge while communities burned. Yet, during a Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) briefing on June 6 — exactly one week after the plane was delivered — Premier Scott Moe falsely claimed the new airtanker was not in the province, stating: “We had ordered and budgeted for four significant upgrades to our tanker fleet, four tankers that will be coming in the next number of years. One of those will be arriving here this spring, in the days ahead, and it will be available as soon as it is able.” Moe repeated that again at a June 11 SPSA briefing, adding that “we could have used it a few weeks ago.” Sources tell the Official Opposition that the plane was nearly lost when fire breached the La Ronge airbase on June 2 — the aircraft had to be physically pushed to prevent it from being consumed by flames. Sources also tell the Opposition that, as of last week, the government had still not hired or trained a pilot to operate the new aircraft. This is another in a long line of unacceptable failures during this wildfire crisis. Scott Moe and his Ministers needs to answer for why their government let this water bomber sit on the tarmac and collect dust — and nearly be destroyed — when it could have been used to fight fires and protect communities. They need to answer for why they provided the wrong information to the public and why, at every turn, they have failed to respond to this crisis.

The Sask. Party was just caught funnelling your public tax dollars to a U.S. lobbying firm that turned around and bankrolled Donald Trump’s political machine.

I grew up on a farm in Lang. When things got tough on the farm you don’t just throw up your hands and walk away. That’s exactly what these separatists want to do. We have challenges Canada, no doubt. Let’s focus on uniting to fix them, not tearing everything apart. 🇨🇦

This should be easy 👀
Scott Moe won’t say whether he’ll vote to leave Canada or vote to stay. This shouldn't be a hard question to answer...

Up at first light to do CTV morning live here in Regina to chat about our ongoing Rural Healthcare Tour. ERs have been closed nearly 4,000 days province-wide since summer 2019. You deserve better than closures, chaos and chronic short staffing.

The Sask Party won’t sign the childcare deal. No one understands why. They’ve have four years to evaluate, prepared and be ready to negotiate. Are they really so ideological that they’d let this province’s families go without affordable childcare?

First, a dying Weyburn senior is kicked out of his care home, despite having nowhere else to go to receive the care he needs.

“I’m scared of dying alone,” he told reporters today. Then, a Moose Jaw senior who has Stage 4 cancer, is legally blind and relies on a wheelchair and scooter to get around is told he’s “overhoused” and has to move from his ground-level home to another public housing unit.

Problem? His wheelchair and scooter don’t fit in the fourth-floor apartment they’re forcing him into.
Finally, current and former students of an awesome Regina adult learning program called Ignite turn up at the Legislature demanding answers after the Sask. Party cut the program’s funding. More than 20 people were here to speak to how Ignite literally changed their lives. Not one Sask. Party Minister took the time to meet with them. You and I call all of this awful.
The Sask. Party calls it Wednesday.

The comments that have emerged from a Sask. Party MLA today are deeply hateful and hurtful. The apology issued by Racquel Hilbert does little to ease the pain caused by her initial comments, which were clearly and premeditated and written out in advance before being delivered in the Legislature. That Legislature belongs to the people of Saskatchewan. It is a place to bring people together, not drive us apart. I want to give special recognition tonight to Saskatchewan’s Sikh community — a community that contributes so much to our province and has shown such generosity; giving back in so many ways. I also want to pay credit to my colleagues Tajinder Grewal and Bhajan Brar who are both proud Sikhs and hardworking representatives for all Saskatchewan people. I am proud to serve with you each and every day.
