It is hard to overrate the importance of this. Grossman is, without a doubt, the most important writer in Israel today and the heir to Amos Oz. His son Uri was killed in southern Lebanon in combat in 2011. A great Zionist, a great man and a true Israeli icon. If he says it, he means it deeply.
Here’s one of the things I’ve been up to the last half decade. It’s been a joy working with @NPSHistory, @ncph, and especially our @uofuhistory grads and undergrads!
Associate professor of History and Gender Studies at the U of U, @MatthewBasso1, leads five-year project with the National Park Service (NPS) that provides public histories of the WWII home front, one of the most remarkable periods in our nation’s history. ow.ly/6vah50TxuSw

Fantastic op-ed from my colleague @WPaulReeve — needs to be circulated widely
.@UofUHumanities own @WPaulReeve in @Deseret quoting Joseph Smith: “It is the nature and disposition of almost all men, as soon as they get a little authority, as they suppose, they will immediately begin to exercise unrighteous dominion.” deseret.com/opinion/2024/09/…
Interested in environmental history and the American WWII home front? I'll be discussing my new @NPSHistory Theme Study chapter on the topic 8/29 1 pm MST. register: community.ncph.org/event/WWI…

Our public lands are national treasures, but House Republicans recently voted to slash @NatlParkService's budget.
Park rangers keep visitors safe, protect wildlife, and help preserve our beautiful national parks for all to enjoy. Congress should have their backs.

In the wake of the Louisiana law requiring the ten commandments be posted in every public classroom in the state, I can't help but think of a variety of examples when the sword of white Christian nationalism was turned against members of the CofJCofLDS. 1/6
