Here's an article from Doncaster Chamber with comments from the CEO. Dan Fell
The Airport gets a good mention and is identified as a major project that the new government could engage with and offer support with identifying new carriers protecting the airspace and support for the gateway east development

Hope @everyone is having a great weekend
Can I ask if we can share and sign the petition
We have well over 25,000 participants on the group
There has been over 8,000 signatures so far which is pretty good in the short time that the petition has been live.
The original petition to save DSA managed over 108,000 signatures over a 2 year period
So we have some way to go yet
We need to influence the
@UK_CAA and @transportgovuk
To reinstate our airspace in a timely manner when it's needed to enable a seamless reopening with no changes or restrictions
There is no Secretary of State for transport innplace at the moment due to the elections that are ongoing. When the elections are closed and someone is put in place as Secretary of State for Transport
We need a show of support from our group to influence whoever gets the job.
The airspace isn't needed yet as the operator hasn't been chosen
I do know some work is underway at DSA to prepare for the appointed Operator
The Aviation Consultants have assessed the airport with a suggestion that DSA is in better condition than 50% of the airports currently operating in the UK.
City of Doncaster Council have the business plans from the 2 operator applicants. And with help from the consultants employed are going through the selection process.
So lots ongoing getting everything in place for the suggested timeline announced last week by CDC.
Just the Airspace decision needed to ensure we can get a timely reopening.
Please sign and share the petition here

Thanks everyone lets share away and encourage our contacts to get involved
The work we've undertaken over the last 23 months with the group has made a difference we can help change things we are not happy with look where we are now with DSA so close to the result we all want

Rishi Sunak lied to the British public.
He was found out.
The Tories refuse to apologise.
It’s unacceptable and it demeans our politics.

How much has tax gone up under the Conservatives over the last parliamentary term, per household?
"It's difficult to calculate..." - @BimAfolami
'I can tell you... taxes have gone up £13,000 per household since 2019', says @SophyRidgeSky.

STOP LYING.
I've posted this before, & I'll keep posting it.
The SHAMELESS normalisation of telling barefaced easily disprovable LIES is destroying our country & our democracy.
It's not an occasional glitch in our politics, business & media - it's inherent in underregulated #capitalism 🇬🇧

When people don't have to fight the government to fund cures for brutal illnesses, when people don't have to flog themselves into the ground for charity, as Kevin Sinfield has - that's when we can say we're a civilised society.
RIP Rob Burrow - and love to his family and friends
