Full text search is probably more difficult and more expensive than commonly thought. Google Tasks has no search feature!

In the world of AI coding, It's cool to see @cursor_ai 3 get revamped to focus on tabs, rather than more side panels.

Wow, this data for AI training is in… no-code Airtable ?

Good explanation of why to use a backend-as-a-service, Convex, as opposed to doing the distributed systems work yourself (or the AI agent doing badly it for you). youtu.be/F6gsiIZzNII?si=LFw6…

Last year, there was a lot of discussion about how ChatGPT was sticky because of personalized "memories", i.e. facts said past conversations w/ ChatGPT. Now, it's getting easy to just migrate your "memories". This is just a prompt. It takes no tech skill. gemini.google.com/import

role at the entry level. I think that's a remnant of the past, exemplified by Microsoft associate product manager program. Back then, huge headcount teams were normal. Also, I think your twenties is a good time to directly create things. There is going to be less managerial hie

I’m seeing the ServiceNow CEO say his SaaS and stock are worth the price, but I’m not seeing him say that the _implementers_ of ServiceNow are worth the price. These are human coder/implementers of $NOW software. They charge about 5x the price of ServiceNow software licenses.

I’ve had this thought for a while, but I am increasingly thinking xAI and Google are the long term winners are the AI model layer. If the models asymptote to a similar competence, then the owner company matters a lot. Of course Google has incredible resources and integration.

There’s a lot more discussion about AI making labor more efficient, but I think AI will make capital allocation a lot more efficient too. Let’s say you like many Americans own $VTI or $VOO. These are the largest ETFs by AUM. Think they’re the lowest fees? They are not. Ins

And if you already own $VOO, you can be wealthier over time by stopping the automatic dividend reinvestment for $VOO, and then manually buy $BKLC

Instead of $VOO which takes a .03% expense ratio in annual fees, you could transition to owning $BKLC, for example. AI helps make such discoveries faster. grok.com/share/bGVnYWN5LWNvc…

University athletic programs in the US keep ballooning in costs. Tripled in proportion of the budget from 15 years ago. Counter to most people’s intuition, athletic departments lose money, even at big football schools. Specific numbers here: grok.com/share/bGVnYWN5LWNvc…

So much of our (American) public policy is based on the needs of pension funds returning enough to be solvent. For example the San Diego police pension, which uses 25% the city’s budget and is the fast growing expense, needs a 6% return per year. grok.com/share/bGVnYWN5LWNvc…
