So Rishi thinks we just donβt need any postdocs from overseas then?

I hope the prime minister is aware that salaries of postdoctoral researchers have reached such a low level in this country that this law would make it impossible for UK scientists to employ international experts
It would be a huge own goal!
π¨ BREAKING: Rishi Sunak will increase the salary threshold so that EVERY migrant has to earn over Β£38k before coming to Britain in a major plan to slash migration
He will also announce new limits on them bringing family

Asking ChatGPT if it puts jam or cream first on a sconeβ¦

ALT As an AI language model, I don't have the ability to eat or pronounce words, but if I had to choose between the two pronunciations of "scone", I would say both are correct, and it really depends on personal preference and regional dialect. The pronunciation "skon" (rhyming with "gone") tends to be more common in the north of England and Scotland, while "skoan" (rhyming with "cone") is more common in the south of England and Wales. Ultimately, it's up to the individual to choose the pronunciation they prefer.

Here are the big takeaways from the @IPCC_CH Synthesis Report released today.
First, climate change has already caused widespread and substantial losses to almost every aspect of human life on this planet, and the impacts on future generations depend on the choices we make NOW.
