year 18 at my alma matter and a lot of the reason I'm still here is working for Coach Patchell and alongside other great coaches
Happy National Coaches Day to our crew 🔴⚫️

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Psalm 46:1-3
Because they will spend money in an irresponsible way, all in the name of being competitive in 2 sports. They know they will be bailed out so they take advantage of it
Especially when you throw over-aged international athletes in the recruiting pool
There were 28,746 men’s NCAA soccer players last season across D1, D2 and D3.
And from the 26,819 players we analysed (we couldn't get data on the other 1927):
❌ 1 in 8 played ZERO minutes
❌ More than 1 in 3 never started a game
❌ 50.8% of freshmen didn’t start once
Getting to college soccer is one thing.
Getting on the field is another. 🇺🇸⚽

Yikes, yeah you should probably not work as hard as you possibly can to reach your dreams for fear of dying tragically....
(sarcasm)
hearing the movie “Greater” is being played in Razorback stadium tomorrow night.
I can’t help but wonder how far the university will go, camps, foundations, designated stadium section,
to convince parents & kids, fans, Brandon’s tragedy is an inspirational triumph from rags to riches, walk-on to draft pick, ending with a random, a non-sport related death,
as if his obsessive, admirable work ethic had no affect on his death,
instead of a young life lost at 22 climbing a ladder of athletic greatness, and a mother & family who no longer have a son & brother?
with such a tragic ending at 22, should kids be so eager to follow in his footsteps?
is their pathway not headed in the same direction?
D1 AD's, is this worth it? Is it worth losing what this system is designed for?
D-I athletics right now:
• UCLA: $219M cumulative deficit
• Rutgers: $516.9M in cumulative shortfalls since joining the Big10
• Iowa State: $147M projected budget gap
• NC State: $18.5M projected deficit
• Dozens of varsity programs eliminated in the last year
• New fees passed to fans
More money than ever, still not enough.
Fewer opportunities. Greater instability.
This isn’t what college sports should be.
Athletic Directors forgot what NCAA athletics was created for
Then
Coaches forgot what the NCAA was here for
Now
Athletes have no idea what the NCAA is for
Too many people think the problem is entitled athletes but let’s not forget how we got here
Property tax is the most ridiculous scam out there. @SarahHuckabee please follow Florida's lead
Yearly reminder that preseason polls are stupid.
You can’t convince me it’s not trying to create phantom success out of thin air
No one asked but I believe when a student enrolls in a university their tuition rate and fees (not housing and food) should be locked in for four years in a contract. Their academic scholarship won’t increase so why tuition?
Proud of you big man. Proud of the man you are as much as the work accomplished. You are one of a kind and I feel blessed to have shared in your journey
Thankful for A-state facilities and local Breaking Bonds ministry for getting things back into place for us in time for practice.

We can and need to do better with the livestream @NCAATrackField
This crew could make a world record seem boring. The field events aren’t covered for more than 10 secs. There are so many good examples around the world of how to do it. Let’s try harder
It can be the best thing to fail. It gives you a chance to shake from your comfort zone and back into a determined drive.
Excuses will betray that chance.
Taking no accountability will also betray it.
Fail, then get to work making sure it doesn’t happen anytime soon

Had an awesome official visit at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Thank you Coach @MattVining1 and the ASU Track & Field team for showing me all that ASU has to offer. #Officialvisit #Wolvesup

Excited to add Vivian to the heptathlon group. She’s an outstanding javelin thrower and jumper!
