I have been meaning to write this article for a long time, but there is still that anxiety about sharing your lived experience. However, the response responses has just been wonderful and have outlined that we need to talk more about therapists with Lived Experience.

Spent 2 hours reading, bookmarking and annotating @MurrayPTSD & @sharifelleithy book Working with Complexity in PTSD. Want to say congratulations & thank you, both. It’s hopeful & energising in the way good training or supervision is - makes me look forward to clinic again

Lovely to see my colleague/friend Stephen Barton’s complexity model as a framework for thinking about PTSD cases, too.

It goes like this: There are hardly any cases. ⬇️ Ok, but most cases are mild. ⬇️ Yes, but no one has died. ⬇️ Right, but the few people who have died probably had comorbidities. ⬇️ Alright, but death rates are still low overall. ⬇️ No one could have foreseen this emergency.
