Reflecting on All Blacks dominance of 2010-15, culminating in 2015 RWC victory. For all the brilliance of Carter, Nonu, the three Smiths... pack included Franks brothers, Moody, Coles, Mealamu, Whitelock, Retallick, McCaw, Kaino, Read, Cane, Vito etc. See where I am going here?
Summing up an epic day with @paige_rudy on the latest episode of What Goes on Tour youtu.be/VOJlzCaJqsk?si=qIv2… Thanks for all the feedback! @SSRugby
PSDT and Eben topped the tackle count with 18 each for @Springboks Massive shifts from both. And apologies to Andre Esterhuizen... slightly unsighted at the final tackle/ruck, instinctively called that final intervention of the game as having come from Cam Hanekom. Jammer! 🙏
Great to kick off What Goes on Tour vodcast series with @4KobusWiese and Justin Marshall, who faced each other in 1996 series. Wonderful memories and anecdotes. Enjoy everyone! @SSRugby @SuperSportTV @SKYNZ Link to YouTube here youtu.be/zgqs6vPbiCk
Will go with a bench of: van Staden, Steenekamp, Sadie, RG, Kwagga, Esterhuizen, van den Berg, Libbok. Decent 23 that!
A team that didn’t play Scotland:
Nche, Marx, du Toit, Etzebeth, de Jager, Kolisi, Mostert, Wiese, Reinach, SFM, DDA, Moodie, KLA, Kolbe, Willemse (ok, I know he played 12, but give me a break 😉). Will work on the bench…
Without PSDT, the other 7 forwards who finished that @Springboks test had 58 caps between them. When you think of the players not available or not selected by SA, that was a massive opportunity for Scotland… and the Boks won by 14. Incredible. Lot of work ons, but my goodness…
Absolute implosion from Ruan Ackermann. Deserved red card. And also ridiculous to give Moerat a yellow card for that. Could not even see Gibson-Park, trapped on the ground and Gibson-Park passed the ball into his raised leg. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Devastated to hear of Scott Hastings' passing. One of rugby's most likeable characters, always so welcoming and kind. Love and condolences to Gavin and the whole Hastings clan. So loved this chat with Scott and Shim when we were last in Edinburgh. youtube.com/watch?v=7-rt9aZk…
It's amazing. Have not seen a single West Ham supporter complaining about Spurs not being awarded a penalty by VAR after contact in the area in their match against Leeds. Complete silence, nothing. 😉😉
Inconsistency seems to apply to the story line as well. Taking account of just two incidents that apparently favour AFC... what of those that have clearly undermined them? Being top of the toughest league in the world & in ECL final takes a lot more than the odd decision from VAR
✍️ 'Study the first league goal that Arsenal scored last August, at Old Trafford. William Saliba was elbowing and obstructing Altay Bayindir, but still Riccardo Calafiori’s goal was allowed to stand, without any VAR review,' writes @oliverbrown_tel.
'The inconsistent officiating lies at the core of the controversy.'

Agreed! The Red Course at The Berkshire is one of my favourite courses precisely because of this configuration 👍🏼
The most important word in here, Oom, is 'contests'. The sport is defined by them and any attempt to remove the variety of contests within the game - all of which help to create the 'space' WR desires - should be strongly opposed IMHO.
What a wonderful post this is among all the nonsense that gets aired here so often. A Dad and his son creating memories for a lifetime around a sport they love. So special 🙏🙏
Why? Because Ireland are bad at contesting in the air? France were brilliant at regaining kicks and creating a platform to attack off them.
Everton have a get well present for you…
A team called @SharksRugby signing a player called Nemo is simply fabulous. 👏👏
