The school board trustee did more than the two gender argument.. he caused nothing but issues in our school district. And here we have politicians on their soapbox with a small sliver of details trying to rally the masses, grandstanding over something they know little details on.

Youโre obviously wrong.
The relationship between Treaty First Nations and the Canadian Crown cannot be modified or abrogated without the consent of the FNs.
Whatever theory you might invent, FNs have been abundantly clear: they regard separation as a rupture of the Treaties. They will not accept it. They will resist it. And that resistance will lead to endless legal action, plus massive economic and social disruption.
So with all due respect, your peculiar view on this is perfectly irrelevant. All that is relevant is the reaction of the Treaty rights holders. And youโre not one of them.
Alberta independence does not undermine treaties. It respects both the treaties and the rights of First Nations
First Nations would retain the right to decide whether to maintain the status quo with Canada, have Alberta assume federal responsibilities under the Treaties, or negotiate modern agreements with a new Alberta government.
Many First Nations members are signing the petition because they want a better future than Ottawa has delivered. That deserves serious, respectful discussion โ not fear-based rhetoric.

Can we start with telling the truth about Barry Neufeld behind the headlines?
This wasnโt about โjust having an opinion.โ He didnโt simply criticize SOGI policy, he repeatedly made public statements that associated teachers with harm to children. The B.C. Human Rights Tribunal found that rhetoric discriminatory and damaging, and ordered him to pay $750,000.
You can debate curriculum. You cannot publicly link identifiable professionals to child abuse accusations without evidence and call it โfree speech.โ
