Another happy customer. Chatterbox, 1913. Repaired, restiched with new endpapers, quarter bound bookcloth, lettered with original boards, retouched and treated. There were quite a few tears and damage caused by sellotape. #bookbinding #bookconservation #conservation #booklovers

Tiny Pumpkin Basket. Folded by me from 7.5cm x 7.5cm. I didn't measure the handle, but it was fiddly doing the locking folds. #HappyHalloween

Kris Kristofferson has died, aged 88. In 1987, he appeared on Wogan alongside Johnny Cash and covered everything from being a Rhodes scholar to landing a helicopter on Cash's lawn, while also treating us to a few bars of one of his biggest hits.

A bright-coloured mohawk, green forehead, orange sideburns, purple collar and perching toes: not your idea of a dream date? The #MandarinDuck could make you think again! Considered one the most beautiful bird species, but also the most faithful. Curious?🦆 bit.ly/4ebUJPs

Sheffield artist Harry Epworth Allen was awarded the Military Medal for conspicuous gallantry in 1917. Badly wounded, one of his legs was amputated above the knee, and the other suffered serious injury. Known for his paintings of the Peak District and the west coast of Ireland.
