Matt Bell, 52, has been farming for more than half his life in central North Carolina.
He grows soybeans, corn and wheat and raises beef cattle on more than 1,000 acres. But Bell, who voted for President Trump, says soaring prices for fuel, fertilizer and equipment are hurting his farm and leading some of his fellow farmers to consider calling it quits once this growing season ends.
"I do not want any Americans to feel sorry for the American farmer," Bell said. "I want the Americans to be mad that we have been put in this situation."

Just so I understand: The NCAA can retroactively vacate wins and losses that happened 5 years ago because a guy took a cheeseburger or made money off his image before NIL, but can’t vacate a very clear instance where the wrong team won a game after being gifted a free play!?

NEWS: William Hendrix, the former Kansas Young Republicans vice chair who was fired from the state Attorney General’s office after his participation in a racist, antisemitic and homophobic group chat was exposed, appeared at the recent gubernatorial debate publicly supporting Republican Ty Masterson.
Photos and video show Hendrix leading pro-Masterson chants, seated near the front and interacting with Masterson campaign staff during the debate.
Hendrix repeatedly used racial slurs in the leaked Young Republican chats and praised Missouri Young Republicans because its leaders disliked LGBTQ+ people. The Kansas Young Republicans chapter was subsequently deactivated.
