Merry Christmas everyone. I have a little Christmas treat for you. A double Map of Life addition. A TURkey (of course) and a TURtle (because, why not?). #turkey #evolution #infographic

We've made it to the end! Door 24 of the Matilda's Lab advent calendar and the most viewed post of the year. matildaslab.wordpress.com/20… Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas! #spiderweb #advent #scicomm

Well said, Bob.

We're getting right to the business end of the advent countdown now. The 3rd most viewed blog post this year may be relevant over a period when children get overexcited. matildaslab.wordpress.com/20… #parenting #scicomm #advent #psychology

Midwinter brings door number 21 of the advent calendar. The 4th most viewed post of the year is about how we can give each other electric shocks. matildaslab.wordpress.com/20… #staticelectricity #scicomm #science #physics

Door 20 of the advent calendar is all about the first person to walk the earth. When is a human not a human? I really enjoyed writing this lesson, so it's great to see it doing so well. matildaslab.wordpress.com/20… #evolution #anthropology #biology #scicomm #admin

Door 19 of the advent calendar reveals the 6th most viewed post this year. Don't worry, your Xmas sprouts aren't about to run off, but there is a question regarding how plants move. matildaslab.wordpress.com/20… #plants #biology #science #scicomm #advent

Only a week left until the big day! Behind door 18 of the calendar, it's the slightly misleading question of "Why don't I have a tail?". Misleading, because you do! matildaslab.wordpress.com/20… #anatomy #scicomm #biology #science

It's been a while since the last update of the map of life. So, let's bulk up the under-represented plant section with the world's biggest flower. The corpse flower, so named as it smells like rotting flesh. #rafflesia #biology #evolution #sciart

It may be a blast from the past, but it was the 8th most viewed post on the blog this year. In door number 17, it's the blue/black vs white/gold dress. matildaslab.wordpress.com/20… #opticalillusion #scicomm #science #vision #advent

Door 16 of the Advent Calendar brings the 9th most viewed post this year. It's also the most viewed infographic. Proving that sharks can be cute, it's the epaulette shark. matildaslab.wordpress.com/20… #sharks #infographic #epauletteshark #biology #science #scicomm #sciart
