Morpho Association has raised $175M to build the open credit network for the world.
Co-led by @paradigm, @a16zcrypto, @RibbitCapital with strategic participation from @apolloglobal, @vaneck_us, @circle_ventures, and @Ledger @Cathayinnov.
The round also included participation from @variantfund, @wmt_ventures, @preludexyz, @IOSGVC, @HashKey_Capital, @sbigroup, @Bpifrance, @mirana, @bamazizimesh, NJJ Capital and 10+ other strategic partners.
The funding will help accelerate Morpho's position as the foundation for onchain credit.

We're excited to announce that Morpho has secured $50M, led by Ribbit Capital!
The funding from Ribbit and other strategic partners further enhances Morpho's decentralization and supports its mission to make financial infrastructure a public good.
the evm evolving (push0, tstore, mcopy) feels good but having to also maintain versions compatible with L2s that don't have these changes yet is really annoying...
other example: @optimizoor's Solady is getting its fork github.com/Vectorized/soledg… taking advantage of the newest evm changes that will have to be maintained in parallel
implied security: in an efficient market, you can infer the security of a protocol by comparing its lending rate, for a given economic risk, to a benchmark 'smart-contract-risk-free' rate
blue and the evc are different objects though:
- morpho blue is a flexible primitive lending pool on top of which are built different lending products
- the evc is an user-facing overlayer that boosts lending products
singleton contracts might make parallelizing txs execution less efficient because of tokens balances of the singleton. For example on uniV4, a swap on WETH/USDC cannot be trivially parallelized with a WBTC/USDC swap whereas they were on uniV3
people will start exploring the boundaries of decentralized lending thanks to the scalable and permissionless infrastructure provided by blue and metamorpho
The latest forum post by @Re7Capital introduces their new ETH MetaMorpho specializing in liquid staking tokens (LSTs).
It aims to drive the adoption of LSTs by enabling leverage strategies and allowing lenders to diversify ETH yield sources. Full post ↓

app.morpho.org doesn't feature analytics for blue yet but there is already:
- morpho.blockanalitica.com
- dune.com/morpho/morpho-blue-…

all finance will go through* protocols. people will probably not do their own risk management, and they need shiny end-user centric products
