Protecting enterprise data in a world where agents are using our systems 100X more than people ever did is going to be one of the more complex security and governance challenges of the 21st century. Importantly, security and productivity gains are inexorably linked in the world of AI. If you give an agent too much unfettered information access, it will be difficult to truly control and protect your data; and conversely, if you lock everything down completely, you won’t get any real productivity gains from AI. We need all new ways to protect our systems, environments, and structured and unstructured dada in the enterprise in an intelligent way by modernizing our approach to security and governance. At Box, as one example, we’re building new intelligent ways to protect enterprise data and agentic use of that information. A recent update in Box Shield is to provide granular controls on what content agents can and can’t work with based on document classification level. We’re also working on other features that can automatically detect and alert (or block) when data is being accessed or used in unusual or anomalous ways by agents. And this is just the start. There’s a ton more innovation coming across the entire industry - from the labs like OpenAI or Anthropic; security platforms like Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, CrowdStrike, Okta; or startups like Enclave, Method, Alterion, Runlayer, and many many others - to rethink how we protect information in the world of AI agents. Exciting and wild times ahead.
AI tools will keep changing, but content policy needs to travel with the content. See how Box Shield applies classification-based access controls to what AI agents can actually read, not just what they can download. 👇

Incroyable.
Stripe is now an ElevenLabs customer! When Piotr and I started @ElevenLabs, one of the first things we did was set up a @Stripe account and every subscription we’ve collected has run through their infrastructure. We're excited that Stripe is now using ElevenAgents to interact with the businesses it serves and ElevenCreative to support its brand and marketing work. Stripe built the payments layer for the internet, serving millions of businesses around the world. Our goal is to make ElevenLabs that layer for customer interaction.

Chamath @chamath: how does an account with no followers get 110 million views in a day? David Sacks @DavidSacks had an answer, on the same All-In @theallinpod taping. Within 15 minutes of the Anthropic researcher's doomsday resignation post, three policy groups amplified it: ENCODE AI's Nathan Calvin, the AI Policy Network's Peter Wildeford, and the AI Futures Project's Daniel Kokotajlo, who dropped a Rogan episode the same day using the same phrasing. All three groups are funded by Jaan Tallinn, who co-led Anthropic's Series A. The Wall Street Journal published a story on the resignation minutes before the tweets went out, meaning the paper had been briefed under embargo. The researcher had agreed to appear on the show and cancelled the morning of taping. Our breakdown traces the funding chain and what it means for Anthropic's IPO: podcastalpha.substack.com/su… Source: All-In Podcast - youtube.com/watch?v=cvxjqbfL…

We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so. Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training. Crazy. One AI guy spent 3 evenings creating an ad for Poland. And its much better than what a full agency produced with a $1.5M budget. Are traditional ad agencies in trouble? Author: sztuczna_polska instagram
