I stand to be guided but organs like PSU have no business interfering with university programs by making such damaging statements. How many regulators should a university have? National Council for Higher Education has the authority to do something like this. MUST should sue you!
📢 PUBLIC NOTICE | PSU Council has withdrawn recognition of the Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) Program at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), effective immediately, following non-compliance with a Show Cause Notice. Current students advised to seek transfer or await compliance by MUST. Full notice below. 💊🇺🇬 #PharmacyUganda #PSU

Today, we kick off a productive week of engagements with major European universities — Ghent in Belgium and later crossing to the United Kingdom for engagements at Nottingham Trent University.

Ugandans have to forgot entering USA for some time. We are allover USA international airport terminals. Way before you reach U.S. Customs and Border Protection inspection booths. But this isn’t also about US alone, foreign visitors to U.S. have to reconsider traveling to Uganda.

I led our team on the EU-led committee that organised this amazing EU–Uganda Research and Study Fair. My interactions with several EU diplomats painted a clear picture of the ingenuity and optimism of Uganda’s young people, researchers and academics. Thank you EU for the support!

I have held a very good meeting with Prof. Sergey Bodrunov, founder and President of the International Association of Noonomy in his office in Moscow. We discussed opportunities for collaboration between Makerere University and the International Association of Noonomy, including the first Africa Congress of Noonomy to be hosted by Makerere University next year.

A lot of great stuff going at @Makerere! @ProfNawangwe’s agenda right from the oustset was to transform the Uni into a Research Centric Uni. This is where most Western Unis have bn for long. Forget the era of strikes year in year out. Mak’s taking off to a new level. Well, done.
Hugely attended EU - Uganda Research and Study Fair. Nine Ambassadors, Ag. Minister of Education and Sports, Makerere Ag. Vice Chancellor @SsaliSarah and hundreds of students from higher education institutions and secondary schools. 50 years of EU - Uganda Cooperation.

Some Kenyan leaders allege that Ugandans on the border communities are registering for Kenyan National IDs to vote in Kenya’s upcoming elections.

We, through an EU-funded @EUErasmusPlus initiative are proud be hosting renowned Professor of Surgical Medicine-Prof. Thiha Aung from the Deggendorf Institute of Technology (DIT), Germany during his annual visit to Uganda. Before each visit, Prof. Aung liases with colleagues @MakerereCHS School of Medicine to identify some of the most complicated Lymphoedema cases in the country, particularly among children and women from poorer communities. Prof. Aung, who has been in Uganda since last week, then performs these surgeries free of charge while Makerere colleagues and students observe and learn. Each of these surgeries would ordinarily cost €100,000 in India or €200,000 in Europe. We thank Prof. Aung for his king gesture and immersive annual knowledge transfer initiatives. This week, the DVCAA Prof. @SsaliSarah will meet Prof. Aung to discuss broadening collaboration between Makerere and DIT through his research. 📷Prof. Aung (Extreme Right) with his PhD students (2nd Right and Centre) and International Relations' @MathiasSsemanda (2nd Left) and @Betty_Nabisubi (Left).

For over a decade, Brazilian politics has been dominated by two fierce rivals. Lula came from prison to defeat Bolsonaro, who was later jailed after his loss. Now, Bolsonaro’s son could be on course to defeat Lula. Bolsonaro’s camp believes Lula again deserves to be in jail.

while Makerere colleagues and students observe and learn. He is in Uganda since last week and has been conducting these surgeries. I got a chance to see some of the photos of the cases he has worked on, and there are simply no words to express the gratitude.

Some of these procedures would cost €100,000–€200,000 if the selected patients had to seek treatment abroad. This is what international partnerships can do. Thank you, @EUinUG. 🇪🇺🇺🇬 Looking forward to the EU - Uganda Research and Study Fair.

If my child came home from school and told me that the school has an aggressive programme for teaching English, with commands such as “Don’t speak vernacular,” referring to Luganda, I would cancel their enrolment at that school immediately.
