It is with great sadness that Mathare United has learnt of the passing of legendary club supporter Simon Kimani that happened over the weekend at Mbagathi Hospital after a short illness. #RIPSimpo

Commonly known as “Simple Simon”, Kimani was an ardent supporter of the club and attended matches as well as training sessions for the better part of three decades. He also briefly worked at the club from 2017 to 2018 and always helped wherever he could before and after that.

...to be played at the Kasarani Stadium Annex from 3pm. Financial constraints that have rocked the club for the entirety of the current campaign and in recent past seasons have lead us to this, our lowest point in our 28-year-old history.

We however remain hopeful that a solution will be found, borrowing strength from our club motto that there is Greatness Within.
