Gulf Clan takes a $19+ billion peso hit after raid on illegal mines in Antioquia
Police and the Armed Forces struck several illegal mining sites along the Nechí River in a joint operation dubbed “Aquiles.”
Authorities destroyed 13 industrial engines, four diver-type dredges, three Brazilian dredges, and two excavators, equipment valued at about $6.3 billion pesos.
Officials say the group was extracting roughly $1.7 billion pesos a month through coercion of mining operations. Combined, the raid and lost rents amount to more than $19 billion pesos in damage to the organization’s finances.

Colombia: Norbey Goez Sepúlveda, alias “El Paisa”, “Ñato” or “Cachaco”, an alleged international drug trafficking coordinator for the Clan del Golfo, was captured in a rural area of Turbo, Antioquia, during an operation involving Colombian security forces and cooperation from the DEA.
Authorities identify the 48-year-old as a member of the group’s Roberto Vargas Gutiérrez structure and accuse him of coordinating the movement of more than one tonne of cocaine per month from Urabá and Córdoba toward Central and North America.
Investigators located him after he allegedly tried to maintain a low profile by posing as a cattle rancher. Authorities say he had been involved in international cocaine trafficking for more than seven years and played a key role in the storage, transport and export of shipments.

ICE arrested 121 illegal aliens, including two suspected members of the Tren de Aragua terrorist organization, during an operation in a Texas lake community. The operation identified individuals unlawfully present in the United States and supported lake-related investigations, allowing local law enforcement to focus on boating and public-safety enforcement.
Criminal histories of those arrested included assault, family violence, assault causing bodily injury, theft, burglary, sexual assault of a child, indecency with a child by sexual contact, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, driving while intoxicated, boating while intoxicated, criminal mischief, criminal negligence and various traffic-related offenses.

Brazil: The theft of a cellphone belonging to Laércio Isidoro do Nascimento Júnior, alias “Boss” or “Gordão”, helped investigators dismantle a major drug-supply network linked to the Comando Vermelho.
Laércio allegedly operated as a “supplier of suppliers”, sourcing large drug shipments when traffickers serving criminal factions in Rio and São Paulo encountered logistical problems.
After his phone was stolen at a traffic light in Fortaleza, he began using his personal number for criminal communications while trying to recover the device, exposing cloud-linked data that helped investigators map his network.
Authorities connected the group to the February 2024 seizure of 715.7 kg of cocaine and marijuana in Guarulhos and another 73.8 kg of cocaine seized in Seropédica. Laércio was arrested at a luxury apartment in Maceió, while 15 people have been charged in the wider case.

Canada: New Statistics Canada wastewater data show sharp regional differences in drug consumption patterns across eight urban areas monitored between January 2024 and March 2026.
Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, recorded the highest and most volatile levels of both methamphetamine and cocaine markers, with Saskatoon and Moncton also showing relatively high methamphetamine levels.
Halifax consistently recorded the lowest methamphetamine levels but frequently showed above-average cocaine concentrations. Metro Vancouver remained the clear outlier for fentanyl, although wastewater levels of its metabolite declined substantially from 2024 into 2025.
The survey covers wastewater catchment areas serving approximately 9.2 million people and measures population-level drug residues rather than the number of individual users.

Cybercriminals are sharing more hacking and fraud tutorials than ever.
Researchers at Radware found more than 3,000 unique hacking and fraud guides on underground forums, with around 110–140 new tutorials appearing every month in 2026.
The focus is changing too. Identity theft and carding tutorials are growing rapidly, while AI is making this type of knowledge easier to create and distribute.
But defenders can also use this intelligence to see what criminals are learning before those techniques become widespread.
