Until the NA community collectively decides to change to its culture and approach to matchmaking/improvement it won’t matter who/what service is created/used. The community needs to decide Matchmaking services add value to skill progression other then just bragging rights

So can NA actually stay committed to using a matchmaking site? My time on Smashmate in Japan was very seamless and made grinding the game online there effortless, I don't get why services like MatchBox die when they provide basically all the essentials you need for matchmaking

🥱 Waking up to calls for a Ladder after NA visits Japan:

It’s almost like one region has a resource that is used by its entire player base to improve while others hides its top players behind gated discord communities 🤔 🤷

“People just use matchmaking to get wins in better players to brag about it, not as a tool to actually improve” Once ppl realize that it’s your Rank on the ladder and not individual wins that matter, this sentiment will change. Remember:

Fun Fact: If all the people who say “I would play on the matchmaking sites if they were active” actually started queuing, then the matchmaking sites would be active. Be the change you want to see. #passiton

The skill ceiling in NA Smash is declining will continue to degrade until the community shifts its mindset and starts adopting open and objective spaces where players connect with other players in competitive formats outside tournaments to improve.

I feel like having an active ladder would be great for my growth right now, I really wanna start using matchpoint more often cause it's cool but I'm worried with the way matchbox turned out keeping an active ladder in NA is near impossible, I'll play it anyways but that sucks

Damn, 49 other states busy sleeping while Texas Smashers are organizing a Grind Sesh on Matchpoint.gg This the kind of mentality that’s makes TX players like Shadic and Muteace 🐐’s. #matchpointmondays

Texas peeps, It’s time to mount up 🤠 Apparently @MatchpointGG_ is the preferred matchmaking system so let’s hop on that. Tag @MatchpointGG_ to let em feel our presence today 😎 I’m of the working class so I won’t be on till after 5 🎅🏾 #MatchpointMondays
