Shattered my reputation as the Cool Lecturer (TM) today when I confused Metallica and AC/DC. Utterly ashamed, cancel me, smelt me down.
I got a new guitar at the weekend and it's honestly one of the most inspiring instruments I've ever played. Makes me feel like a proper guitar player in a way that I haven't really felt before. Couldn't even explain how or why, it's just really, really good. And it's Daphne blue.

Following on from my post about wanting a disgusting guitar, I think what I've realised is I want a late 70s Yamaha SG1000 which is not in anyway disgusting to look at.
In truth, what I really want is the sparkly turquoisy blue Yamaha SG800s I couldn't afford to buy off a mate for £300 about 8 years ago that I then saw for sale in PMT Salford for twice the money a couple of weeks later.
This has really upset me. I swear this album/series came out like 3 years ago.
