VeilDVPN v1.3 is another strong example of independent teams continuing to improve applications built on Sentinel.
The latest release adds multihop routing across any node type, an optional kill switch, and further usability improvements across the app.
For Sentinel, the key point is that independent teams deliver these improvements at the application layer while still using the same shared decentralized bandwidth network underneath.
That is exactly how the ecosystem is meant to develop: different teams building different products, features, and user experiences on top of common infrastructure.

TWO MILLION all-time users! 🎆 🎇
To get a sense of how much dVPN adoption is accelerating: We celebrated the one million milestone only one year ago. Sentinel has existed since 2017.
Sentinel has now passed 2 million total unique users across the network!
That is a major milestone for a decentralized bandwidth network built around independently developed applications, independent node operators, and open infrastructure.
This growth hasn't come from one app or one distribution channel. Multiple dVPN products are serving different users, platforms, and markets while connecting to the same shared Sentinel network underneath.
As Sentinel prepares to move to @solana, that scale becomes even more important.
The migration is not bringing an empty protocol into a new ecosystem. It is bringing more than 2 million unique users, active applications, established node infrastructure, and a network already generating real consumer demand.
For Sentinel, Solana opens access to a much larger environment of developers, payments, liquidity, applications, and onchain infrastructure.
For Solana, Sentinel brings a growing consumer network with real usage from day one.
Two million users is not the end goal. It is the scale Sentinel is carrying into its next phase.

Important: GNOT Distribution on Mainnet
GNOT auction participants who submitted their GNOT addresses prior to 06:30 AM September 11 (UTC) have received their GNOT on mainnet. While these tokens are not yet transferable, they will be before trading begins on KuCoin and Kraken.
Those who submitted their GNOT address after the cutoff date will receive GNOT tomorrow, before trading begins.
If you haven’t submitted your GNOT address yet, please do so before 08:00 AM September 16 (UTC). If you don't submit your address before then, you will likely receive GNOT after trading begins.

Independent dVPN has grown to 500,000+ downloads on Google Play, making it one of the clearest examples of what can be built on the Sentinel Network: a consumer VPN application that gives users a familiar Web2 experience while using decentralized infrastructure underneath.
Most users do not care which protocol, chain, node, or routing system sits behind the app. They care whether the VPN works, whether it connects reliably, and whether it gives them private access to the internet when they need it.
Independent dVPN has turned Sentinel’s decentralized bandwidth into a product mainstream users can understand and use, including people who may have never heard of crypto, DePIN, or decentralized infrastructure.
For users, @Independentdvpn is simply a VPN application. For builders, it shows how Sentinel can support real consumer products using independent node operators, open-source infrastructure, and a shared bandwidth network instead of forcing every team to build a global network from scratch.
Sentinel does not own the application, the brand, the customer relationship, or the user experience. Independent dVPN is built and operated by an independent team, while Sentinel provides the decentralized network layer underneath.
The separation between application and infrastructure matters. Teams can build their own brand, payment flow, distribution, and customer base while using open infrastructure that can be inspected, integrated, and improved by builders across the ecosystem.
Mainstream users do not need to understand decentralized infrastructure to benefit from it. They need products that work, with infrastructure that can be verified.

dVPNs built on Sentinel generate more revenue than most of these chains with multiple apps exceeding $1k USD revenue per month.
With the protocol design in place proven to scale for millions of users, Sentinel's goal on Solana will be to focus on increased revenue attribution.

August brought 77,263 new users to the Sentinel Network, alongside more than 6 million encrypted dVPN sessions across the ecosystem. Session volume reached another all-time high, showing continued demand for decentralized bandwidth infrastructure.
The underlying chain also processed significant activity over the last 30 days, with 695,069 blocks, 9,622,134 total transactions, and an average of 13.84 transactions per block.
The numbers matter because Sentinel is not a single VPN application. It is decentralized bandwidth infrastructure already supporting multiple applications, independent node operators, and real encrypted session demand from users across the ecosystem.
Sentinel is also demonstrating its ability to handle Web2-scale traffic through VPN partners and consumer-facing applications that bring mainstream users onto decentralized infrastructure without requiring those users to understand the network underneath.
As Sentinel prepares for its migration to Solana, these figures show the level of live network usage being carried into the next phase: millions of encrypted sessions, millions of transactions, multiple applications, and real user demand across decentralized bandwidth infrastructure.
Decentralized VPN infrastructure continues to scale across independent nodes, multiple applications, and users accessing a more open internet.

Important: Public Auction GNOT will Launch on Gno.land Mainnet
Public auction tokens were previously planned to launch on Base as wrapped GNOT. That plan has changed. Auction participants will receive native GNOT on Gno.land, not a wrapped token on another chain.
The reason is simple. $GNOT should be experienced where the network lives. Launching natively means auction participants receive GNOT on mainnet and can use Gno.land from day one.
The terms of the public auction remain unchanged. Participants will receive GNOT that is fully unlocked at TGE (with the exception of U.S. accredited investors, who are subject to a 12-month lockup). Bonuses also remain unchanged and will be distributed along with the auction allocation.
More details on the next steps will be shared soon.
Thank you. We’ll see you in Gno.land.
