Harold is an old, badly worn doll that became famous online in 2003 after appearing in an eBay auction with a disturbing story. According to Times of Malta, a group of Maltese tourists staying at a farmhouse called police at around 2 a.m. on the night of September 22 to 23, claiming they were being attacked by a ghost. One guest reportedly said an apparition slammed him against a bed. Another person allegedly saw a man with a white face and no eyes walk through a closed glass door. That wasn't the only strange claim. The guests reportedly said kitchen appliances moved and switched on by themselves. They also reported hearing a voice inside the house. Police confirmed that they received the emergency call and went to the property. When officers arrived, the guests were already outside. Police carried out inquiries at the scene and ruled out the involvement of third parties. No medical assistance was required. A priest was also reportedly brought to the property later that night. Rev. Dr. Marcello Ghirlando confirmed that he had been contacted to visit the location. But here's where the story gets even more interesting. The farmhouse itself has not been publicly identified. Rumors began circulating that the property was Rummiena Farmhouse, operated by GozoStays. The company denied that claim, saying the property was completely vacant when the alleged incident occurred and that no guests had checked in. On October 1, 2026, Coast to Coast AM reported on the company's denial and its warning that people spreading the claim could face legal action. So we have a documented police response, witnesses reporting something they believed was supernatural, a priest who confirmed being called to the property, and a farmhouse operator insisting that its property was not the location. When she went downstairs to investigate, there was no baby. She would find an open window instead. After Mandy was given to the museum, the crying reportedly stopped. But that was not the end of the strange activity. After Mandy arrived at the museum, staff reportedly found the room where she had been left overnight in complete disarray. Later, museum workers reported that personal belongings, paperwork, books and even lunches would disappear and then turn up in unexpected places. Other dolls placed near Mandy were also reportedly found knocked over. Visitors have reported feeling as though Mandy was watching them. Some have also claimed their cameras or flashes malfunctioned when they tried to photograph her. The museum has even kept reports and stories connected to Mandy as part of her exhibit.
