Britain cannot continue to arm Israel while claiming to oppose its genocide of the Palestinian people. I joined UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese & others in Westminster to discuss the need for stronger action against the Israeli regime. Limited sanctions are not enough while Britain continues to provide Israel with military & political support. Sinn Féin has called for a full arms embargo, serious sanctions on Israel & an end to British support for the illegal occupation of Palestine. The British government must be held to account for its role in enabling Israel’s actions against the Palestinian people 🇵🇸

This is big. The UK’s National Security Advisor had nothing to do with banning Palestine Action as terrorists. Even though the question of terrorism is at the core of his job. So who did push the proscription of Palestine Action? The walls are closing in.

UK royals are working today to welcome to London the dictator of Oman, who represses independent media & political opposition and allows GCHQ to operate a secret spy station. The visit won’t trouble the UK national media but read about UK/Oman here. declassifieduk.org/tag/oman/
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrived at the official reception venue today. The King of Britain led those welcoming His Majesty to celebrate the close friendship between both nations.

Donald Trump canceled his scheduled Oct. 16 deposition in his lawsuit against the BBC because of "matters of national importance." The BBC alerts the judge that those matters were: a rally in Dalton, Ga. and a fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago.

It's a complete mystery why @BBCNews appears to have blanked this UN report which is utterly damning of the BBC and Western media. They have all 'facilitated genocide'. === Albanese found that Western media “camouflaged” Israeli responsibility in headlines, with the BBC most criticised for this, having been found to do so in 83% of its headlines, according to media analysis. The “striking example” provided in the report was of Hind Rajab. Five-year-old Hind Rajab was killed alongside her family while attempting to flee Gaza City two years ago. The car they were in was found riddled with 335 bullet holes from rounds fired by Israeli military personnel. The BBC headline still reads: “Hind Rajab,5, found dead in Gaza days after phone calls for help.” archive.ph/Ezjnh Report from @ScotNational

And now we’re waging war on the Houthis But we’re not AT war, in the same way we aren’t At war in Ukraine and Iran. I wonder where next we won’t be at war…
EXCLUSIVE: The UK’s Royal Air Force will fly defensive missions to protect Saudi Arabia from escalating Houthi attacks, according to British officials familiar with the matter RAF Typhoon fighter jets will help defend Saudi cities and infrastructure against aerial attacks from the Iran-backed militant group, the people said. Andy Burnham has signed off on the decision Britain will also provide an Atlas A400M transport aircraft with heavy lift capability to move kit around Saudi, as well as military advisers The decision marks an extension of UK support for Saudi in the wake of Houthi attacks which have killed more than a dozen people in Riyadh. There have been multiple attacks on the kingdom in recent days

Pat Buchanan, 1999: “By moving NATO onto Russia’s front porch, we have scheduled a twenty-first century confrontation. … America will face a hellish dilemma: risk confrontation with a nuclear-armed Russia determined to recreate its old sphere of influence, or renege on solemn commitments and see NATO collapse.” Therefore, he said, “Offering NATO memberships to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and, as some urge, Ukraine is rashness bordering on madness.” Referring to maps the Clinton team must have ignored, Buchanan warned, “This would put the Russian base at Kaliningrad behind NATO lines and bring into a U.S.-led alliance three nations with huge Russian minorities.” Foreseeing future conflict, he observed that “Latvia is almost half Russian; eastern Ukraine, almost entirely Russian. America could neither defend nor liberate these nations without the risk of nuclear war.” Pat Buchanan, A Republic, Not an Empire: Reclaiming America’s Destiny (New York: Regnery, 1999), 17–18, 22.

Hegseth claims that China’s development of its own military power to protect the nation is an attempt to alter the status quo — a status quo in which the “island chains” are explicitly used to contain China. So the United States crosses half the planet from the Western Hemisphere to the Western Pacific, builds military networks around China, patrols the first island chain, the second island chain and the South China Sea — and then complains that China is building the military capability to defend itself? You talk as if Chinese warships are circling New York Harbor. America is operating off China’s coast. China is building power in its own strategic neighborhood. Yet Washington calls its own forward deployment “deterrence” and China’s response “destabilization.” This is not a fair definition of the so-called status quo. It is an empire defining proximity to someone else’s coastline as its natural entitlement. The strangest thing about the “China threat” narrative is that the country traveling halfway across the globe to contain China still imagines China is the one expanding into its backyard.

Helen, Helen, Helen Let me explain this to you in plain and exceedingly simple English. Disabled kids are most likely to have been born with their disabilities or conditions (as I was). I know this might be shocking to you Helen, but we don't just stop being disabled at 18. Being born with a disability is usually a lifetime deal. I tell you what, care to swap? You can have my cerebral palsy (and the benefits that you say come with it) and I'll take your fully functioning extremities and become an MP. Not a Tory one though, because I'm not a horrible bastard. By the way, if you accept my offer, good luck trying to wipe your backside, put your own clothes on, wash any part of your body or doing any sort of cookery (since you won't be able to hold a knife properly) are, and one more thing, forget about rolling yourself over in bed at night, you'll have to get somebody to help you with that as well. But yeah, apart from that, a lifetime on benefits is really fucking easy isn't it?
Look at this chart 👇 Many if not most of the children on DLA will go onto PIP. Around half of children who get DLA become NEETs. There’s a clear path from child DLA to PIP to a lifetime on benefits. We must change this.

The Canary will be closed for the foreseeable future. As of today (Monday 19 October), the Canary will be closed indefinitely. After multiple attacks this year, from Lloyds debanking us to former employees spreading malicious lies on social media, the situation has become unsustainable, both financially and operationally. After 11 years, we take this action with deep sadness and regret. The extent of the lies, defamation, and harassment by ex-staff - coupled with the constant attacks by the state and those who’d see us destroyed - has become too much. However, it is not over. This week, we will publish what really happened at the Canary and push back against the vicious campaign against our team and us. We may be down, but we’re not out yet.

We are witnessing Islamists right now burning Paris because Europe has committed cultural suicide. We should look to France as foreshadowing for what America faces if we don’t stop this here. We are fighting to save our nation.

Left: Yvette Cooper saying something on BBC Laura Kuenssberg Right: One of the 3,600 old people arrested for non violent protest because of a policy Keir Starmer and Yvette Cooper rolled out; this one, the daughter of a Holocaust survivor Never forget Keir Starmer and Yvette Cooper's legacy which has seen thousands arrested for non violent protest. At the Labour party conference Cooper tried to dismiss her involvement in the policy, even though she announced it and implemented it. In opposition Cooper was a rockstar calling out the chaos, cruelty and injustice of the Conservatives. In office, she has done worse than Suella Braverman and Priti Patel combined. As Baron Hain said, the proscription is “intellectually bankrupt, politically unprincipled and morally wrong.” And that is how you should remember Yvette Cooper, “intellectually bankrupt, politically unprincipled and morally wrong.”

The police say Sarah Helm’s post didn’t meet the criminal threshold for prosecution. So, presumably, anyone can now say “God help us (insert profession) who support Palestine and Palestine Action” without fear of arrest, as the precedent has been set. 🤷🏼‍♂️

President Trump is a kind, wonderful, gracious, thoughtful, enthusiastic, and hardworking man. I wish more Americans appreciated him. No one will ever make America great the way he has and continues to. It was an honor to work for him.
