I stand in solidarity today with my @snmediaguild colleagues, who are picketing in DC and asking @Society4Science for equitable pay structures. Let us get back to work.

My newest for @mcsweeneys, I detail the ways in which your child should definitely, absolutely not destroy their school issued Chromebook.

Thanks to Matthew Griffin for this one! Hi live, and work in the Lakes Region area of NH. I recently met a man whose father, I think, was the head of the maintenance (bull gang?) crew at the old Garden. 60’s- early 70’s. He gave me a bunch of old black, and whites etc to look at. He said I could share a few. So here they are. Also, could you help with the photo of the gentleman in suits? Who are they? Thanks for your time.

Last week, I went to Abu Dhabi to report about the NBA’s relationship with the UAE, what the league’s presence there means and how they and the State Department think about concerns that sports help the UAE government hide human rights abuses. My story: nytimes.com/2024/10/10/busin…
Sun saying: why can’t we get a player like that?
New feature: Courtney Williams' dad told me his daughter was going to show out in Game 5.
"This is what she lives for. She’s gonna kill it."
Courtney exploded for 24 points, punching the Lynx's ticket to the Finals.
“I try to put on a show for him."

…maybe the modern high profile MSM interview often feels like it’s designed for an audience of political consultants. Not voters. This is not a hit on anyone. It’s a question about how and whether the profession —with self reflection— can prevent a full slide into irrelevancy.

Sorry haters. The Call Her Daddy interview was well conducted. Questions delivered were smart and straightforward. There are a lot journos who have lost the plot about why candidates are doing this. Absolutely some of it is to escape tough questioning. Also/And…
