Watching Ade Edmondson and @exitthelemming spotting Red Kites in Wales. 100s of the wonderful creatures. I was in Ahmedabad in February and they have Kites in similar numbers and it is an extraordinary sight. Lots here in Bedfordshire too.

My neighbours have split up. Married with 2 kids. Talking with him, apparently no-one else is involved, but she wants out of the domesticity. She’s been going out with her colleagues after work, while he’s at home. I feel for the kids and I feel for him.
It’s knock-out time for the World Cup. Instead of a penalty shoot-out, I reckon that for every two minutes of extra time, each team loses a player, starting with defenders, then midfielders, then goalies. Whoever scores first wins.
I got a hug from my daughter today. From a teenager who accepts hugs begrudgingly and rarely gives them. It lifted me in ways she can probably never fathom. I can’t imagine how Sanjoy and parents like him who have lost children in the worst imaginable way get through each day.
On this Father’s Day, missing my little girl Grace, my daughter, the ‘love of my life’ the best gift my wife ever brought to this world for me.
She was my friend, my advisor my critic, a best mate……I miss desperately
