I’m no longer a member of @SocDems following the reinstatement of Deputy Eoin Hayes. After being elected to the National Executive in 2024, and being active within the Party this was a difficult decision but undoubtedly the right one. Saoirse don Phalaistín 🇵🇸

Absolutely disgusting, @SimonHarrisTD @MichealMartinTD @EamonRyan céad míle fáilte to those committing genocide, enabling the provision of weapons to slaughter Palestinians, while patting themselves on the back for their "solidarity". Weapons out of Shannon NOW!
The state is facilitating an Israeli cargo plane using Irish-controlled airspace to pick up IDF weaponry from the US.
The plane has on multiple occasions passed through the airspace on its way to a US military base before returning to Israel.

UCD is "outraged by the ongoing mass killing of civilians, the withholding of humanitarian aid, and the destruction in Palestine by Israel... UCD is particularly appalled by the destruction of all universities in Gaza and attacks on their students, faculty and staff."

After four weeks of our encampment in UCD, we've reached an agreement with the University which can be read in full below 🇵🇸✊ ucd.ie/newsandopinion/news/2…
Day 17 at the UCD Liberation Camp, during a sit-in protest this afternoon at the University Club @ucddublin staff used violence against students, including placing one protester in a chokehold and sexually assaulting another.
The martyrs of last night's massacre in Rafah are constantly in our thoughts.
The excessive force used on those protesting the University's complicity in genocide will not deter us and is inexcusable.
The President released the below statement last week to all staff and students, @OrlaFeely was "disturbed" by the "messages of hatred and violence" chalked onto the walls of campus. Will there be the same outrage from the University at the acts of violence against students?
Those living under a settler-colonial state for 76 years have the right to resist occupation, our messages of protest call out the horror of Zionism, and finally is @ucddublin truly trying to infer that a student writing about our colonial past is violence?
UCD president criticises ‘messages of hatred and violence’ following pro-Palestine protest on campus irishtimes.com/ireland/educa…
The President weaponises the University's Dignity and Respect policy and casts strong allegations of "hatred and violence", all the while committing to protecting academic freedom despite tone policing those opposing a genocide.
Our camp continues into its 11th day and we ask @OrlaFeely to engage directly with us on our demands, in particular to recognise the ongoing genocide, rather than demonizing acts of protest.
Great to talk in depth with Rory about the camp and our demands, get down to UCD to support as we continue our encampment into its 9th day. #FREEPALESTİNE

Day 5 at UCD Liberation Camp, last night four Gardaí arrived at 12:30am asking questions. We view this as an act of intimidation by the University to invite Gardaí at this late hour. The encampment has expanded and support continues to grow with new students joining daily.
Important 🧵 explaining why a commitment by @ucddublin to an academic boycott is essential.

Day 2 at UCD Liberation Camp, @UCDEstates have removed our Palestine flags and banners from the UCD sign. Join us by the lake at 9pm tonight for a gig for Gaza with local musicians and poets.
