We are devastated at the loss of these brave officers. Our heavy hearts and thoughts are with the Tremonton Garland Police Department and Box Elder County Sheriff's Office.
Let us never forget their ultimate sacrifice.

UDOT will close SR-210 at 12:30 am on 3/22/25. Interlodge travel restrictions for the Town of Alta will go into effect at 1:00 am.
This afternoon's intensified weather and commute times (pardon the pun) are on a collision course with each other. Early departures are recommended today.
Thanks @UDOTcottonwoods and @UDOTavy for always having our small town's back. You guys put in a long day and crushed it!
If the forecast plays out as expected, traction controls, heavy traffic congestion and delays, avalanche mitigation all possible through Saturday. IF... we get into Interlodge restrictions, we'll be enforcing violations 💯. Reminder, all car camping is prohibited in LCC.
Only 3 days into the New Year, and I've blown my resolution not to be a pessimist. Saturday has all the ingredients for challenging road conditions, detours via the Alta Bypass Road, and serious delays. Please equip and plan ahead.
If you're spending the night in Alta, make sure to have your vehicle in a designated overnight parking spot before celebrating.
Please and thank you!
Please check out Alta Ski Area's message for closing day:

Additionally, to maintain emergency vehicle access, we are planning for the possibility of turning traffic away when no parking is available.
Today's forecast has every ingredient for heavy downhill traffic delays, potentially lasting hours. Plan ahead .
Most weather sources are calling for intense canyon wind & snow early afternoon through the evening. Hazardous driving conditions and major delays getting out of the canyon are possible today. Please consider departure times accordingly.
Hands down the winner of the I'm going up no matter what award this morning. Meanwhile, everyone trying to get home tonight, not so much.
Little doubt that there will be congestion and delays heading down the canyon this afternoon. Consider an early departure and have a full tank.
Happens up here more than you might think... Driving APP says there's a road where there really isn't.
If you're not seeing Subarus and Tacomas going by, it might be a ski run.
The 8:30 am time for tomorrow is an ESTIMATE. It is NOT A PROMISE.
Being outside of a building before Alta Central officially lifts Interlodge results in these. ⬇️ They're expensive, will take up your time in court, and it's dangerous.
PLEASE WAIT FOR NOTIFICATION FROM US
Deputy currently citing an individual who hid out in a vehicle overnight during closure. There's better ways to drop $1000 than paying court fines in Alta.
There's never a time that parking lot or roadside camping/sleeping in a vehicle is legal in Alta. This is especially critical prior to UDOT avalanche work.
I get asked a lot: "What do you think traffic will be like this afternoon?"
Also... my last performance evaluation: "you need to work on being overly cynical".
