The best clocks to tell time on Mars. They work for Earth too, and use standard seconds only. At the stroke of the hour, all 3 hands point to that hour. See them at quasars.org/Mars-Clocks.htm . Desktop clocks can be downloaded from there (Java 7+ required). Paper published by AstTI.
We've been on Prime, watching their sci-fi movies. These are B-movies, mostly -- all terribly PC. White males bad, other groups good according to race, sex, orientation. We are trying to enjoy the sci-fi content and ignore the twisted social context. Brainwashing for others.
Man, all the misspellings and word-omissions in all the posts which can substantially change their intended meanings, are becoming dreary. Can't people do a basic look-over, even just once, before hitting the "Post" button?
It's crazy to have two New Year's holidays per each year. Matariki is a feel-good holiday which doesn't pass the smell test -- we already have a New Year's holiday.
We may have regrets about past decisions in our lives, but they are as nothing compared with the WWI generals who pushed millions of their soldiers to their doom against "the enemy", actually their comrades, in the most civilizational-suicidal war ever. The chasm of that regret.
Cyclone looks to me like it's going due South and will pass just off the East Cape. Metservice is still picking Westward turn. We'll see who's right.
Isn't it time to call out drivers who use headlights in the DAYTIME? It doesn't aid visibility one bit, it just annoyingly heightens the contrasts of the driving environment. And the headlights require 2% more energy consumption, so pollutes. Where are the environmentalists?

As a new user, the only odd quirk I've seen is "porn" IDs following me. They all "joined" in 2023-24 and have no postings, or one meaningless one. I block them all, but this practice must be happening all around. Would be nice if it could be stopped somehow (I don't know how).
