I can see that vision too; everyone knows how difficult it is to start from obscurity. But I can't help but expect Earthlings.land to grow into something big. It's like a gamer's intuition.
My fav comment after the hunt. Thanks @Stonkshbar much appreciated.
More fun is being added. We have all the tools ready and are filling them up.
I noticed that the Devs had put off the impact for the chickens today. But next round you'll be able to shoot others with them :)

New Paris is opening up for public stress testing, and this feels like the perfect excuse for the Earthlings.land community to get together and make a little adventure out of it.
We’ll be able to jump into the city, explore the streets, check out what the team has been building, wander into places we probably weren’t supposed to notice at first glance… and apparently keep an eye out for valuable HBAR rewards hidden throughout the world. 👀
And you already know what that means.

Look for strange corners.
Search for hidden spots.
Compare discoveries.

And probably turn the whole thing into one giant community treasure hunt. 🔥

Almost ready for play test. Patron trying to finish that LONG list for steamstore! And they say web3 is difficult, well you have not tried filling the steam store pages :P
Looking back on this interview with Earthlings co-founder Patrick de Grijs, what stands out most is how clearly the team was already thinking beyond the usual boundaries of Web3 gaming.
Rather than building a game that constantly reminds players that it runs on blockchain technology, Earthlings seems to be taking the opposite approach. The goal is to create something that feels like a normal, enjoyable game first, while Web3 technology quietly works in the background. That idea feels especially important when remembering how often blockchain games have been associated with speculation, NFTs, or simply making money. Earthlings wants to earn trust as a game studio before asking players to care about the technology behind it.
The discussion about New Paris also gave a glimpse of how that philosophy was beginning to take shape in practice. Early multiplayer testing reportedly went well overall, with only minor issues around portal usage. More importantly, the servers and multiplayer systems appeared stable enough for the team to begin preparing a much larger public stress test called City Run.
City Run sounded like more than a technical test. It was designed almost like a city-wide event, with rewards such as HBAR, Steam items, and even a gaming PC in the final round. It showed how Earthlings was experimenting with ways to make testing itself feel like part of the game.
Another memorable point was the team's effort to reach traditional Web2 gamers. The Steam wishlist campaign is a major part of that strategy. Instead of putting wallet connections and blockchain terminology directly in front of new players, Earthlings appears to be deliberately keeping those elements in the background. The message is simple: play the game first. Everything else can come later.
And the game itself already sounded wonderfully strange.
Players might help an old woman cross the street in one quest, then encounter exploding chickens somewhere else. There were also plans for team competitions, manhunt-style events, and multiplayer activities using the city itself as the playground. All of this would exist inside a huge 20 km × 20 km open world.
That contrast is probably one of the most interesting things about Earthlings. It can move from ordinary everyday situations to completely absurd moments, while still trying to build a large connected world where players can simply explore and discover things for themselves.
Patrick also sounded optimistic about both Hedera and the broader future of Web3 gaming. Rather than presenting Earthlings as a finished idea, he spoke about it as something that would continue developing together with its community.
Even the introduction of the mobile mini-game Steam Runner reflected that wider vision. Character unlocks through NFTs and play-based rewards showed another side of how the Earthlings ecosystem could eventually connect different experiences together.
Looking back, the interview feels less like a simple development update and more like an early explanation of what Earthlings wants to become: a game that can welcome ordinary gamers first, use blockchain technology without making it the entire identity of the experience, and slowly build a much larger world around exploration, multiplayer events, strange humor, and community participation.
It takes time to build an entire world, but that's exactly what @EarthlingsLand has done on @Hedera, and soon they will be opening it up to the public. 🌍

Absolutely obsessed with the chickens in Earthlings Land. 🐔💥
They’re cute, ridiculous, surprisingly clever, and somehow overflowing with personality. And then there’s the Exploding Chicken—because apparently being adorable wasn’t enough. This little feathered chaos machine carries TNT into battle like it’s the most natural thing in the world.
That’s what I love about them. They don’t just feel like background animals. They feel like characters—funny, mischievous, smart, and completely unpredictable.
So I have a question for chicken lovers around the world:
If Earthlings Land gave you your own TNT-chick… who would you send it after first? 🐔🧨🔥
Cute chicken? Yes.
Smart chicken? Yes.
Walking explosion with feathers? ABSOLUTELY.
If you have some time, be sure to check out my past posts about chickens, too.
I'll be waiting for you at the chicken race.
