You don't need to chase every trend in tech or crypto.
Sometimes the biggest advantage is simply sitting down, doing the work, learning something new, and repeating it tomorrow.
Discipline beats hype.
Consistency beats noise.
Time does the compounding.
ENDSARS LEKKI TOLL GATE: NEVER FORGET OCTOBER 20, 2020
Today, October 20, 2026, marks the sixth anniversary of the Lekki Toll Gate shootings, a painful reminder of the price Nigerian youths paid in their demand for a better country.
On that fateful night, peaceful #EndSARS protesters were met with gunfire. Lives were lost, many were injured, and the nation was left with questions about justice, accountability, and the sanctity of human life.
We must never forget. We must never normalise injustice.
As we remember the victims, I reaffirm my belief that a New Nigeria is possible—a country where citizens are protected, not brutalised; where young people are heard, not silenced; and where government power is exercised with responsibility and respect for human rights.
Nigeria must become a nation where no citizen is punished for demanding good governance and a better future.
May the souls of the departed continue to rest in peace. May their sacrifice strengthen our resolve to build a Nigeria where this tragedy will never be repeated.
A New Nigeria is POssible. A Nigeria where every life matters. -PO
Today reminds us all the Youth of the nation Nigeria, come 2027 16th January we should all come out to vote wisely. Vote for a better governance. Let's remember our brothers and sisters who paid the price on this date at Lekki toll gate for a better Nigeria. #Nosellyourvote

Lagos Life launched on October 1st. Just 9 days later, over 4.7 million people have played the game.
Today, I’m excited to announce that Vatar, the parent company behind Lagos Life, has closed a $500K angel round led by AB Hassan (@ijbguy), Nathan Nwachuku (@_KingNath), and GB Agboola (@TechProd_Arch).
Lagos is just the beginning. We’re building entire worlds, and there’s so much more to come. 🌍

There is no doubt to what you have stated @cryptobaddiee1 . I had this in mind but didn't tweet it because it wouldn't fly. I have seen @teddi_speaks qoute tweet on her post with regards to monetization through a memecoins creation. But I'm of the opinion of creating a utility
You tell Nigerians the truth they term you as “jealous “ what exactly am I jealous of ? Do I have a video game ? 😂😂😂😂
Initial novelty will wear off , what business model have she set in place to keep the momentum going after ?
At some point, people will start getting depressed by the amount of money they are seeing on the website and actually decide to lock in irl , who will keep playing ?
What if a bigger competitor and business minded person copies the concept and amplifies it ?(they already are doing that )
Cloud and development costs for million users is in the $10k and above
If advertisers don’t get returns , they will stop returning , how many of you are actually watching the adverts ?
The game is dependent on advertising to make money , how much are Nigerian companies paying to place adverts lol
Not enough valuable players
I am pretty sure if this was done for newyork , a billion dollars company would have snagged it but there’s a billionaire in Nigeria thinking of funding another one instead of buying hers …. Understand your market and never make anything tech all about Nigeria lol
Muting this too I can’t argue with money dumb people

He should enroll for an NHIS nursing course/program in the UK by 2027. Do that for 6 months and before the expiration of the year 2027 the hospital he practice at could sponsor his visa as a nurse assist. This works well with mental health hospitals. While still at his sis place.
A man moved to the UK as a student in 2024 and has been living with his sister since he arrived. That arrangement kept his costs low.
He now works full time and saves about £1,500 a month.
His visa clock is running.
He has until January 2028 to find a sponsored job or leave the country, and sponsorship has become very hard to get.
Recently he met a UK citizen, originally from Nigeria. She is a single mother of one.
She has suggested he moves in with her, and she often talks about marriage and having another child.
When they sat down to talk money, she was clear: she will not split costs 50/50. She expects him to carry most of the financial load, and she said that is the only way she can respect him.
Once they ran the numbers, his monthly savings would fall from £1,500 to about £300.
He is 39. He already has two children in Nigeria from a previous marriage that ended because of infidelity.
At this stage, he says financial freedom matters more to him than marriage.
So he is stuck between two paths:
1. Stay with his sister, keep saving £1,500 a month, and accept that he may have to leave in January 2028 with roughly £35,000.
2. Or move in with the single mother, and possibly marry, and watch most of that saving power disappear.
Those are the choices in front of him.
I believe you all know what my possible advise to him will be.
So let me keep quiet and allow you all do the advise.
The floor is open.
AJD.

Have you thought about the success of on-chain perps on a layer 0 chain?
Actually, Hyperliquid is not the first to implement a native on-chain CLOB, nor will it be the last.
The XRP Ledger was the first, followed by Stellar, and Hyperliquid was certainly not the first for Perps; we had Sei, dYdX, Apex Pro, and many more.
Unlike Hyperliquid, those perp guys did too much and tried to replicate an L1 transaction system in a futures-specific environment (and that was the beginning of their end).
But Hyperliquid stuck to a set of theses they believed made their platform awesome for traders and market makers.
Their thesis proved a couple of things:
➡️ Smart contracts are not good for Perps (I mean that literally; there are too many attack vectors).
➡️Transparent orders, just as those on XRPL and Stellar's orderbooks, are better than hidden orders, which usually lead to toxic MEV.
➡️ Market-maker first-block priority is better than open-priority systems on multi-purpose blockchains, which usually lead to takers initiating toxic flow on makers and, in turn, bad price discovery.
What did we learn here? Building an on-chain Perp DEX on public L1s/L2s poses many problems: smart contract dependencies, MEV & toxic flow, oracle and keeper-bot latency, gas fees + trade fees, etc.
Basically, on-chain perps are worse than CEX perps, and they are not wrong (to date, no on-chain perp comes close to Hyperliquid).
Thank you for your attention.
Do you know that the only reason decentralized marketplaces hasn't succeeded in this space is due to the non-existence of an underlying decentralized infrastructure that could house that and make it succeed? At @officialsyslink we experimented on this with an MVP....
