I wasn't quite sure how I was going to feel watching a City game for the first time since the guilty verdict. But watching that yesterday - the smug smiles to the camera, the away fans waving cash around, the banners, chants. It's just all a hollow sham. The whole Premier League season is.
It can still be saved, just. But in truth we all know it's probably going to continue to drag for a few months at least before we get anything close to clarity.
So we'll see those scenes again and again this season because they are a great team with great players who are going to keep winning. It's just going to make such a mockery of this season.
Every goal, every celebration, every glance at the league table, you just ask yourself the same questions. What does it mean? What's the point of this all? What's the point of spending our money to watch?
Of course we will still do it and come kick-off of most games. (when City aren't playing in them), we'll probably forget about it and get caught up in what we're watching.
But then the full-time whistle will go and it will start all over again.
So many seasons/moments have been lost for millions of fans around the world already because of what they've done and this season is going to be no different. Such a shame.

FULL-TIME: Liverpool 0-3 *. Massive result for league leaders Arsenal as a title rival drops all three points at home.

Opinion
City fans, genuinely feel for you, we all support clubs through good and bad, and maybe hold our nose at times when something seems too good to be true. Being genuine here, no bs, no clucking, no delight. Could be any supporter today. Needed to say that.
But this now is the biggest football scandal in British football history
nothing comes close.
Expulsion from the Prem and EFL a bare minimum, several billion in fines, Abu Dhabi struck off global football ownership, selling all clubs, an independent commission into all Premier League clubs financial conduct, and where applicable, criminal fraud charges.
English football has been relatively lucky with financial or general cheating Scandals over 150 years ( there have been minor things) but this makes this season's Premier League ( are the practices alleged still happening? How many managers and players today are paid off books in contravention of HMRC and English law?) null and void until sanctions are implemented.
The motion that one club can fulfill fixtures while serious and potentially criminal allegations are pointed at the directors box would make it a circus and grossly unfair on every other club.
We all need to take a harder look at just letting anyone in to own our club on the promise of trophies and memories. Our forebears supported clubs simply for enjoyment and competition, not to end up like this. A mess.

Chelsea’s new front of shirt sponsor Circle is currently subject to a criminal complaint in Wisconsin relating to stolen crypto coins.
Its Trustpilot score is 1.2 out of 5.
Critics say Crypto companies seek legitimacy and normalisation by sponsoring institutions held in high regard such as football clubs.

🚨#BREAKING: A German soccer fan who flew to the USA but was fearful about coming because of news about criminals and people being mean...
...breaks down into TEARS, live on air saying he has FALLEN IN LOVE with America after a random man named "Bob" in Boston gave him a ride home after he was stuck at a game with no way back to his hotel
The German soccer fan's name is Sebastian, he said after meeting Bob, he extended his entire trip.
He said leaving America will hurt worse than watching Germany get knocked out of the World Cup.
"I fall in love with America. I'm sorry, it's just so emotional. Americans are not rude... if we are together, we can achieve great things."
THIS IS THE AMERICA I KNOW!!!!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Un an.
L'option A soulage ta morale pendant 18 mois.

I resigned yesterday from the Foreign Office. Having been bound by civil service impartiality for the past decade it’s liberating to be able finally to speak my mind. I intend to make up for lost time.
The Foreign Office, in my view, is in many ways failing. As is much of Whitehall. I’ve written for The Times digging into some of the reasons why.
Fixing the state machine is absolutely vital - none of the fundamental problems afflicting our country can be dealt with unless we do so. There’s obviously much more to say. And so watch this space.

When Marlowe’s British Kitchen opened in Leeds, Rabbi Gilbert asked the Muslim owners, Jenade Yamin and Arabaab “Paddy” Munir if they would consider making it kosher as well as halal. They did not have to. It meant change and cost. Paddy thought about it and said yes.
Now there are halal and kosher fryers side by side and one long queue for fish and chips. Orthodox Jews, Muslim families, neighbours from every background, ordering the same national dish.
Everyone remained unmistakably themselves, they simply widened the table and in that small act, you glimpse the country we can still choose to be.
(My grandfather was a kosher caterer, known for his fish. I inherited none of his skill!) @JewishNewsUK

As someone who’s a US veteran but half British, I’ve got some shit to say.
During my 10 years in the Navy and Army I’ve spent a lot of time working close with NATO operatives from all over Europe.
The British soldiers used to always make fun of me because I had a US flag on my shoulder, always being told (you’re In the wrong uniform).
Until 2009 when I was in Afghanistan operating medevac flights from Bagram to Ramstein and we had about 60 UK soldiers being flown back, missing limbs, almost fatal wounds and even a few deaths.
That was when I realized that It didn’t matter of which flag was on our uniforms, we were all brothers and sisters fighting in the common enemy.
457 British soldiers lives were lost fighting a war we asked them to jump into and you know what, they did without fuckin hesitation!!
That’s what you call a true ally. A true hero. And real brother in arms.
So to that fat orange piece of shit who said that they were standing “a little back off the front lines” I want to remind all of his boot licking cult members that I have a friend who’s a former royal marine, that lost his left arm and right leg for being “a little back off the front lines” and even though he’s living his life with his family, he made the ultimate sacrifice. When I spoke to him today he wasn’t just angry, he felt betrayed. I reassured him that you don’t know how grateful we are. So to all who are laughing at this……….
Go FUCK YOURSELVES!!!
I couldn’t be more proud to serve my country during the hell that we went through in both Iraq and Afghanistan, but I couldn’t be more prouder than serving along side my NATO forces.
Because if they weren’t there, I would probably be dead today!!!
FUCK TRUMP ALL THE WAY TO HELL AND HIS BOOTLICKING ASSHOLE SIDEKICKS
MAY THEY ROT IN PISS!!!!!

It would be better if we scrapped that silly over-25s ID bollocks and went back to landlords turning a blind eye to the teenagers having a few beers and playing pool in the taproom. Maybe we wouldn't have quite so many miserable, lonely, socially inept young people that way.
