V excited to announce that @GlennPeter and I have written an intro textbook on #evolutionary #genetics that is due out next week on @OUPAcademic. The book is an up-to-date introduction to the basics of #popgen and #evobio. You can read more info here: bit.ly/2H4FWIm 1/4

Very excited to share our opinion piece on human-commensalism (and the first paper of my PhD!) which is out now in @Trends_Ecol_Evo. Really enjoyed working on this with @melissah_rowe, @Mark_Ravinet, @LizScordato, @Pacheco_Evo, and others. sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

Really happy to have been involved with this super cool work alongside @blanca_jimeno and others! Investigating epigenetic potential in dispersing birds!
New preprint out! We tested the association between "epigenetic potential" and dispersal in wild pied flycatchers, with the hypothesis that⏫epigenetic potential may facilitate successfull settlement in novel environments through ⏫ phenotypic plasticity biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

This exciting work would have not been possible without the expert contribution of @M_Tangili , @Mark_Ravinet and an awesome research group (Jesús Martínez-Padilla, @DavCanal @JulioCDVilla, Jesús T García, Carlos Camacho and Jaime Potti). @MSCActions @IPE_CSIC
Come work at @CEESUiO under the supervision of @IslandGenomics - a really fantastic #PhD opportunity in #evolution and #genomics

Proud to have been a part of this really cool paper led by Dabao and @IngerSkrede! A long road to publication but worth the wait!
Really happy to finally see this work out. So much work by Dabao Sun Lu, and all coauthors to unravel the evolution of reproductive barriers in our fungal model Trichaptum abietinum @DrHyfe @MauriceSundy @Mark_Ravinet @DPerisN @biovitenskap cell.com/current-biology/ful…

A truly dark day for all here in Nottingham, at the university and beyond. I can only imagine the pain that the families are going through today.
It is with great sadness that we confirm the sudden and unexpected death of two of our students following a major incident in #Nottingham city centre overnight.
We are shocked and devastated by the news and our thoughts are with those affected, their families and friends. (1/2)

Are you using RADseq to infer phylogenies, or planning to? Then you might want to check our new preprint on how assembly parameters influence downstream inferences. (1/2)

First day back after a week off and this is heading straight to the top of the to-read pile. Some great work from some great people!
Ready to share this preprint about the basis of a shift from egg-laying to live-birth in Littorina. We find evidence for live-bearer specific sweeps at many loci, overlapping with genes that are differential expressed btwn reproductive systems. pls share!
