Don’t sleep on Chris Roque’s influence on the Cowen pick either. Clark, Roque and Dubas have proven to be pretty good at this business going back to the Soo.
If there's anything you can say about Wes Clark, it's that he's willing to bet high on upside. Cowan wasn't highly ranked anywhere. Highest I've seen is @CraigJButton who had him at 34. I had him at 78. Many had him around that range or lower. To say scouts in the building were shocked when the pick happened would be an understatement. Leafs did their homework, received some flak at the time, but it's paying off.

“OUR” Fans are THE MOST important people in the game! The “All in/Passionate/ Live and Die on every Win or Loss” are even more so. The fact they care enough to say “We” is a testament to their love for the Team & anyone that complains about them is a 🤡! WE love them! - MS
I habitually say “we” often. Remember, some people have a very strong outside connection/attachment to the team. The team has been my go-to source of entertainment and sanity for many years of my life (over half of it) and will continue to be so.

Clayton...You have put in the work & really devoted to "The Grind" so I'm incredibly happy for you! Once again, the Kings make a great Staff choice. Good luck & keep grinding! - MS
Excited to have joined the Kings staff for my first full-time NHL season! Wouldn’t be here without the love and support from a lot of great people over the last 15+ years. See you at the rink!

I can’t believe I’m writing this tweet and those people that know me will be even more puzzled by it. It is about a guy I never met or knew what he looked like or ever even talked to but I literally teared up a couple times watching this Clip from the @dpshow The Dan Patrick Show has been a staple in my life since BEFORE Dan left ESPN & that only increased once he went out on his own. Chris in Syracuse was as much a part of the show as Seton or Pauly or McLovin. Sports fans get a bad rap as being crazy and “fan”atical & uneducated but Chris was the BEST example of how untrue that is. His “call in’s” were educated and smart and very well thought out & the odd “Easter egg” to the early days always brought a smile to my face and made me feel like I was a part of the brotherhood who were with Dan since the beginning. It was always like getting a call from a friend that you haven’t talked to in a while & it was only emphasized by his selflessness in his personal life and the sacrifices he made for his family. The @dpshow has helped me through the massive high’s and the devestating low’s of my crazy life & Chris was the constant throughout those early years. May his family find peace in knowing that their loved one affected so many people like myself in the best way while consciously staying in the background. Rest in Peace Chris and I hope you knew how much of a legend you had become before your unfortunate passing. 🙏
Today we honored one of the greatest callers in DP show history. RIP CIS ❤️

Am I the only one who thinks that the days of 1st and 3rd base Coaches in MLB should be over? Do we really need a Coach to remind a guy of the count or wave them home? Can’t a guy making $35 million a year be expected to make those decisions himself? Just a thought. - MS

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we pause to honour the Survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never returned home, and recognize the families and communities who continue to carry the lasting impacts of this painful chapter in Canada’s history. At VETS Canada, our commitment to serving Veterans includes recognizing and honouring the service and sacrifices of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Veterans—many of whom served Canada with courage and distinction while they and their families faced discrimination and injustice here at home. Truth must come before reconciliation. Today is an opportunity to listen, to learn, and to reflect on the role each of us can play in building relationships rooted in respect, understanding and dignity. We honour the Survivors. We remember the children. We stand with Indigenous Veterans, families and communities. Every Child Matters. 🧡 #NationalDayForTruthAndReconciliation #OrangeShirtDay #EveryChildMatters #IndigenousVeterans #VETSCanada #TruthAndReconciliation

A VERY CLASSY move by the Wild to honour a Woman who LOVED hockey & advanced the game every single day while showing that family is even MORE important. The similarities make me think that the odds @NickFoligno or @marcusFolignHOE will be the first recipient will be -100,000!
The Minnesota Wild and local team reporters are proud to announce the Jessi Pierce Media Beauty Award, honoring the memory of Jessi Pierce and her three children, Hudson, Cayden, and Avery. The annual award celebrates the warmth, generosity and spirit Jessi brought to the rink and recognizes the Wild player who best exemplifies professionalism, accessibility and respect in their interactions with local media. The award recipient will be selected by a vote of local media. More information » mnwild.co/JessiPierceMediaBe…

Agree 100%. An easy guy to cheer for.
Need someone to cheer for in the NHL this year? Michael DiPietro was once considered one of the top goalie prospects in the world. It took a while, but after dominating @TheAHL over the past few years, DiPietro is ready to make his mark with Boston: dailyfaceoff.com/news/michae…

For those of us who live and work in Sudbury, we already know that it should be classified as a special economic zone. We are home to nine operating mines, two smelters and one mill, with another nine mines under development. Sudbury is the world's largest integrated mining complex. Sudbury is not a pit stop with a gift shop. The road to Canada's prosperity runs through Sudbury. nationalpost.com/news/the-hi…

Oh trust me...I know that...We don't evaluate our rankings until 5 years after the Draft. THAT is the time to actually review how good or bad your evaluations were. It was a reply to @mattewhy about people undervaluing Cover going into the Draft but your point is bang on.
Replying to @MarkSeidel
Im thinking it might be a bit too early to take a victory lap here
