I’ve read a lot of tweets this week referring to “signing a DNAR” form as though it means condemning someone to death.
CPR is in fact a very specific treatment for a specific condition and only works if the person has enough physiological reserve to be revived.

CPR is not a treatment for #ordinarydying. Every instance of futile CPR - which is what will happen if nobody has sorted out the protection of a DNACPR for someone whose life is coming to an end - is a tragedy. Please, doctors, nurses, patients, families - #havetheconversation.

Do you #vape? If your vape says 2% #nicotine (which sounds really low!!) it is actually 20mg nicotine! A packet of #cigarettes will, on average, contain 11mg! Very misleading for our young!!!

Thank you to my LLR NHS colleagues. Had to call #NHS111 for my Dad yesterday. Made the call at 1030am & an ambulance was taking him to hospital by 1230pm. Outstanding considering all the pressure they are under.
