A sign of intelligent person is their ability to simplify things, not complicate them.

Trust is conferred. It's never claimed.
Most AI startups fund PR and founder-led thought leadership. Both fail for the same reason: the only voices in the story are the founder and the investor, and both have a stake.
Who speaks matters more than how much.

The McIntosh C29 rarely comes up for sale, and playing jazz records through it shows you why.

New to me: a 1975 Luxman PD121. Thirteen kilos of Japanese direct drive, wearing a Grace G-704 arm and a B&O MMC 20CL cartridge.
Fifty-one years old and still perfect — first spin, Miles Davis, Bags' Groove.

This paragraph by Haruki Murakami hits hard:
“Once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”

One of my favourite photos of all time as 26yr old ORSON WELLES arrives at the New York premiere of the Film he’d just directed, starred in & co-written ‘Citizen Kane’ (1941).
Bought this ~50 year old Luxman PD-264 turntable for my office mainly as a design piece — and it delivers. Brushed metal base plate against a polished platter, set into a rich rosewood plinth. That three-material juxtaposition is phenomenal. Mid-century modern, translated into audio. #MCM #VintageAudio
