I just took the bullet train from Hangzhou to Beijing. The Chinese started building the line in 2008, same year as CA project, and finished the 800-mile stretch in 2011. Three years for a distance twice as long as LA to SF!

BREAKING: Volkswagen announces a European rival to Tesla’s “flying” Roadster
Some insane confirmed features:
1. Top speed limited to 110 km/h
2. Automatically reports speeding to authorities
3. Automatically turns off the AC if outside temperature is below 35°C
4. Car will not start when public transport option exists on your route
5. Built-in system reminds you how much CO₂ your trip produced
Launch expected after EU regulatory approval in 2068
It is truly completely over for Tesla
Tesla says the Roadster has its fastest-charging battery yet, targeting 15-80% in just 10 minutes, recovering roughly 208 miles of range.
The plan is 25-30 minutes of full track performance, recharge while the driver takes a break, then straight back out at full power.

X is the ONLY company that can build a serious competitor to Amazon 😄
🤖 Made with AI

Imagine Elon created an Amazon competitor.
Technically…. He has all the tools for it:
• Grok shopping agents
• 𝕏 Platform (built-in marketplace)
• Optimus robots for fulfillment
• Tesla FSD, and vehicles/robots for delivery
• Starlink for connectivity
Wild to think.
💯 X shop, verified reviews from blue checkmarks, agentic first search / integrations, sell/buy with X money, smaller fees, integrations with X ads. It would be the best sellers/buyers platform.
Biggest problem is warehouse and delivery solutions to compete with Amazon Prime next day deliveries.

World's first native CarPlay implementation in a Tesla!
It's a huge moment for me since it took over 5 years to make a native port, no dongles, no browser. Bare metal, butter smooth. Exciting times @maciej @CoilShift.
@Tesla when?

So after researching like 50+ ai apps for inspo,
I think fastest way to make your AI product feel more polished is showing what's happening during any kind of loading state.
Because (for example) a spinner tells me nothing.
"Searching 12 sources..." "Ran 42 auth tests..." "Read 7 files..." tells me it's actually working.
I'd rather watch AI think than stare at a loading circle

IMPORTANT: THE SWEDISH POLICE OFFICER WHO WAS KILLED IN COPENHAGEN.
THE FATHER’S LETTER TO the Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
8 October, Sweden
Everything has a limit, and then you either stand by it or explain it.
I am Johan Zedig, father of Christian Zedig, who was beaten down/murdered in Denmark/Copenhagen.
Christian was a police officer. He swore to protect the justice system we have here in Sweden, and which is presumably the same in Denmark.
Christian intervened against people who had already come intending to cause trouble, and he tried to restore calm during the football match itself.
The person who struck him, and who was already known for violence, simply wanted an outlet for his inner aggression. That is already in the records, and there are surely witnesses as well.
So this is how I see it: I have no more tears left, the family is struggling in the dark, and children and grandchildren are stumbling forward in a system that has apparently been hollowed out.
Therefore, as Christian’s father, I want to meet you as Denmark’s prime minister. I want you and me to meet face to face, and there you must explain to me how one can give only 12 months for a murder.
(It was planned to hit someone, and everyone knows that.)
I imagine you coming here, to Astrid Lindgren’s World, Mariannelund, Katthult, Bullerbyn … Where children get their fairy tales, where life begins.
So Mette Frederiksen, I am waiting for you and for an answer from your ministry.
My Christian must not have died in vain.
I can be reached at [email protected]
I am waiting for you to have the courage to reply.
Kind regards
Johan Zedig
