To be fair…. If you have > 16 VMDK’s on your VM… It’s probably a VM that should be built net new…. …and the data migrated to the new VM…

SpaceX is now offering select U.S. customers a free @Starlink Mini (normally $200) with any Residential plan. "As a thank you for being a Residential customer, you're invited to claim an optional Starlink Mini (separate from your home kit) — so you can take the same internet you use at home anywhere you go. Use it for driving, camping, boating, and more. The Mini is a hardware rental at no cost, with flexible Roam service at a special rate. To keep the no-cost hardware rental, the Mini must stay on Standby Mode ($10/month) or a Roam plan." This email is also offering a 20% discount for using the Mini dish with the required Starlink Roam plan. Before, only Residential Max users got free Starlink Mini this offer.

If you think you are smarter than the previous generation... 50 years ago the owners manual of a car showed you how to adjust the valves. Today it warns you not to drink the contents of the battery.

Unless you’re writing your own backup system the VDDK will come with the tool you’re using.
Broadcom just made it significantly harder to leave VMware. The company quietly removed public downloads of the Virtual Disk Development Kit (VDDK), with no announcement and no alternative route provided. This library sits at the core of nearly every VMware migration tool on the market, including offerings from Microsoft, Red Hat, and Nutanix. If you need it now, you have to contact Broadcom support and hope your account shows the right VMware entitlements. Many customers are already reporting 404 errors and being told the library is simply "unavailable." This is not an accident by the way. This is a deliberate business decision by Broadcom to keep user with VMWARE. How else will they justify their acquisition?

Is it sad, that I’m excited to powerwash my trash/recycle bins, because trash pickup, beautiful day outside, and a PTO day happened to align?
