How in the world does the city of Walnut Creek CA approve 422 new townhome units without realizing the impact that would have on the already overcrowded local schools? To put it in perspective this is adding 50% to the Woodlands neighborhood. @WalnutCreekGov
Once again @MtDiabloUSD only has 4 full days of instruction in the month of November. 9 days of minimums for PARENT/Teacher Conferences. Veteran's Day off in the middle of a week. A regular week, but EVERY Wednesday is early release. And then an entire week off for Thanksgiving.
What's hilarious to me though is that even back in the day, districts seemed to have it figured out. There's just too many days off throughout the year. You've got 2 days at Thanksgiving. PARENT/Teacher conferences were 1 week, at the most. There was no Fall Break. Etc... etc...
To Jose & Kwanza. It doesn’t have to end this way. If you invest in the product on the field, the city will show up. Plug the holes and fill the gaps and the team can flourish. Bottom-line everything and the wins will leak and you’ll find yourselves on the outside looking in.
October baseball is a privilege. But the missed opportunities, bad luck, and poor execution came back to bite us. The good thing about being in your mid 40s as a Padres fan though is that you’re used to it.
