ALBANESE’S “SHE PAID IT BACK” EXCUSE COLLAPSES Anika Wells charged taxpayers $3,700 for a June 2025 Adelaide trip so she could attend a friend’s 40th birthday party. She claimed she held official meetings with former SA Health Minister Chris Picton and Don Farrell’s office to justify the overnight stay and business class flight home. Farrell’s office has now confirmed it has zero records, no texts, emails, diary entries or anything else, backing her claim of a meeting with his chief of staff. Picton’s diary showed the relevant time blocked as “personal affairs” Wells told investigators it was a “sideline meeting” at the birthday party. Picton’s spokesman later backed her version, but the paper trail is missing. This sits on top of the IPEA audit that forced Wells to repay more than $10,000 plus penalty, after four family reunion trips failed the rules. Albanese’s response? “She paid it back” That’s the bar now, get caught, hand the money back, keep the job and the entitlements. Shadow Communications Minister Sarah Henderson called it more evidence Wells “concocted fake meetings” and demanded the Prime Minister sack her. When the only defence left is “she repaid the money” the standards are already gone. Could I fill up at a petrol station, take off and then come back to pay it back 3 weeks later?

Remember pre 2022 Vic State Election, the @victorianlabor went on a huge publicity blitz using taxpayer money celebrating how great 2026 Commonwealth Games would be for Victoria regions. They got great election results in the regions. After the election @VictorianLabor cancelled the games without so much as an apology. They blamed Putin, then gave 100s of millions of Victorian taxpayer dollars to Glasgow Scotland to host the games. Glasgow made a profit. Meanwhile regional Victorians die, because despite being the most highly taxed with the highest state debt, there’s no money for road maintenance.
