Ossoff: There’s only one man who tried to commit voter fraud in the state of Georgia in 2020, and it was Donald J. Trump when he called up Brad Raffensperger and demanded that he find him the votes he needed to win in a state that he’d lost.
Every day, we see him dig the moral pit deeper. But, Pastor, I think it’s in Proverbs where it said that he who digs a pit… will fall into it.

WELKER: President Trump has been in office now for 636 days, and inflation was at 3% when he took office, it's 3.7% now. At what point does the administration take responsibility?

Andy Barr once proposed term limits that would have capped House members at 12 years. Now, 14 years later, he's still in Congress.
Apparently, term limits are a great idea when they apply to everyone else.
Tonight’s debate was another reminder that Andy Barr’s promises are easy to make and easy to break. No wonder Mitch McConnell handpicked him as his successor.
Same old Washington politics, same old swamp and same old broken promises! Kentucky deserves better!

The FCC MUST reject the request made by a Republican group that would allow political groups to make robocalls to cell phones without people’s permission.
Putting Americans in a position where they can be fed misinformation through AI-generated deception ahead of a crucial election is yet another attempt by Republicans to mislead voters.
The risk here is severe: unleashing a Pandora’s box of election mis- and disinformation made more believable with AI. The approaching election is a reason to preserve safeguards, not suspend them.

Hard-On for Putin, Tough on Ukraine
Look at the graphic above and read down each column. On the left is how the Trump administration has treated Vladimir Putin, the man who launched the largest war in Europe since 1945. On the right is how it has treated Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the duly-elected leader of the democratic country Putin invaded. Hold the two side by side and the pattern is obvious. The aggressor gets stroked. The victim gets ultimatums and threats. This week highlights the pattern.

He’s spending $138 million against California’s 5% billionaire wealth tax.
He’d rather working class kids die because they can’t afford healthcare than pay his fair share in taxes. Obscene.

Master Sgt. Nicole Amor was killed one day into Trump's war in Iran.
Her husband asked JD Vance a simple question: Who will be held accountable for the failures that led to her death?
Vance's answer: He hasn’t heard of ANY failures in the war.
Unacceptable. This war must END.
Vance is confronted by the emotional husband of a soldier killed in Iran War and acts like he had no idea anyone ever died:
Q: It's a hard price to pay. There's a failure in the leadership. How will the leadership be held accountable?
Vance: If there were failures... This is the first time I've heard of this.

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.
Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country.
Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case.
Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve.
In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota.
The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

East Potomac Park was established more than a century ago by Congress for the recreational leisure of the people: golfers, hikers, bikers, walkers, yoga classes and you name it. Hundreds of thousands of people in the DMV and visitors from elsewhere enjoy this beautiful landmark. Of course, Trump’s now trying to steal it for another imbecilic vanity project so billionaires and Trump’s royal court have another place to golf. They have already illegally demolished hundreds of trees where they want the new course to go. With Halloween approaching, maybe it’s time for a march of the Loraxes to stop this criminal desecration and destruction of federal property. washingtonpost.com/sports/20…
