@OpenAI The next big thing for spacio visual understanding after #dalle2 should probably be self supervised training on actionable video data, like it is created in video games with the movement commands and the names of displayed models as info to embed.

@OpenAI, @junh_oh et al nicely showed how action-conditional video prediction produces the best visual embeddings. #dalle2 should start imagining to move through its creations to understand them better.

@OpenAI once we have actionable imagination in #dalle2, without the need of explicitly modelling all variables, we can start using the full potential of dreaming, like already used by @ryoo_michael in robotics to rapidly learn real-world policies.

For as long as I've been a computer scientist, I've been convinced that I am the worst possible mathematician one can be while still hoping to do meaningful ML research. This feeling hasn't changed at all as my abilities have fluctuated.
