Exactly a month ago, my dad went into an open heart surgery that ended up being so complicated he almost didn’t survive. But after 13 hours (!!), he made it out.
Thanksgiving in a hospital was not on my 2023 wishlist, but I am just dang thankful my dad is still here 🙏
special gratitude shout to the most generous and supportive manager and team during this time. @iThink_iDesign and our whole team supported my family leave of absence, allowing me to be by my dads side in the ICU for the past 30+ days. 💖

Performative DEI that spun up in reaction to the events of 2020 *is* dead, as it should be. We could see right through those tweets of solidarity. But the push for a more inclusive and equitable future of work and technology and world is far from over.
