Ladies and gentlemen, this is an MP in Somalia THIS WEEK defending the mutilation of little girls because it benefits men.
I am running out of words for the sheer inhumanity of these men. And the female politician laughing behind him should be ashamed. But that would require a conscience.
Around 99% of Somali women and girls have undergone #FGM, yet politicians openly defend this horrific abuse.
And what do we do? Keep pouring billions into Somalia while pretending it is building a functioning state.
Why are British taxpayers funding institutions whose politicians show such contempt for little girls?
Not another penny without accountability. I am sick of this madness.

Et ça me dégoûte.
Les cortèges pacifiques, je les vois. Mais ce qui reste, ce sont les images de destruction et de vol. Et ça, je ne peux plus le supporter ni l’excuser. Beaucoup devront rendre des comptes et pas seulement les casseurs.

CLEARED, DEAD AND STILL UNPAID
A man runs a post office on a Scottish island for 14 years. Then a computer calls him a thief. Courts later decide the computer could not be trusted. Bill never hears the news. He died 11 years earlier.
Meet William Quarm, known as Bill. He ran the Paible Post Office and shop in Bayhead, North Uist, for almost 14 years. In 2008 investigators from the @PostOffice arrived to question him. Their accounting system, Horizon, built by Fujitsu, showed around £40,000 missing.
Facing jail, Bill pleaded guilty to embezzlement at Lochmaddy Sheriff Court in 2010 and got 150 hours of community service. He was a father of 5.
That is the Horizon scandal. Fujitsu's software made money look missing in branches across the UK and hundreds of branch managers were prosecuted. Around 100 were in Scotland, where the Crown Office did the prosecuting using Post Office evidence.
Bill died in 2012, aged 69. His widow Anne Quarm says it broke his health, nearly broke hers and they lost everything.
In 2023 the Appeal Court in Edinburgh quashed his conviction. Anne brought the appeal for him.
In January 2024 former Post Office investigator Raymond Grant told the Horizon IT Inquiry @PostOffInquiry that he still believes Bill stole the money.
A court quashed the conviction. Raymond Grant did not get the memo.
The government says people with quashed Horizon convictions can claim £600,000. As of 2024, Anne had received nothing. Her MSP @alasdairallan said the couple also got no pension payout after 14 years of service.
Everyone has said sorry. Sorry costs nothing, which explains the supply. Anne Quarm was still waiting for the version with a bank transfer.

I think I have the ultimate solution to the French riots, as well as those seen across other Western European countries. Gather all of the rioters, ship them off to the Donbas border, and force them to fight against the Russian troops. They can riot to their heart’s content and maybe learn something about real life.
It’s really a win-win for everyone.
It’s a brilliant way to cut through the theater. The same students and activists who treat broken windows, burning cars, and injured police as noble resistance would suddenly face a border where the other side isn’t under orders to hold back, where the shells are real, and where the “system” they are fighting isn’t a French prefecture but an army that has already leveled cities. The climate banners and keffiyehs won’t stop artillery.
Europe’s political class has spent years treating the Russia-Ukraine war as a distant moral test while allowing large-scale street violence at home to be framed as “youth expression.” Shipping the protesters to the actual front line would force the two realities to collide. The ones who genuinely believe they’re fighting oppression would learn what sustained fire actually looks like. The ones who are only there just for the spectacle and the cameras would soon learn that the cameras stop mattering once the drones arrive. Either outcome removes them from the streets of Paris, Lyon, Milan or Amsterdam, which is the practical gain for everyone still trying to live there.

2007: Brittany Spears shaved her head as an act of rebellion, and was put in a psychiatric hospital.

This morning I went to watch my kids play football as do many other families. The deterioration of the area is plain to see. I made a short video just of the communal area where parents and kids hang around waiting to watch and play. I appreciate the stadium is under construction but it’s no reason for standards to drop so far down that it poses serious health and safety issues and generally creates an unpleasant experience for many locals. We should do be doing better than this.

Don’t worry - your own freedom of expression includes the freedom to get things completely wrong.
The issue isn’t Sally Rooney’s political views, or even her books. It’s her stated intention to use the proceeds to fund a proscribed organisation.
A rather important distinction.
in my original post about the Sally Rooney affair I have been accused of oversimplifying what has happened. And that's fair - I did. But after going into this in more depth I realise that we end up in much the same place - books not on sale to the UK public because of the entirely unrelated activities of their author. After all who is to know whether the proceeds from books that would have been sold would actually be the money to be be donated to Palestine Action as opposed to money that Rooney has already made or is making elsewhere? Rooney btw, with scant regard for her readers, seems not to be unhappy for this to happen.
I don't imagine that the government anticipated this outcome when it produced the ban and I'm not at all sure that Faber shouldn't have taken the risk of a prosecution that probably would never have happened. The result is the same - books not available for political reasons.

In Belfast Obama distorts history & the legal purchase of private land from Arabs by Jews. Most Arabs were not expelled by Israelis in 1948 but left when their own people invaded Israel, intending to return when Israel was defeated. By his falsehoods he adds fuel to Jew hate.

Loudly for those having tantrums about the NHS *finally* obeying the law, some 16 years on, and providing women with necessary, separate, single sex spaces. This is partly why. I dare you to tell us you don't agree it should.
I first raised this report by @JoPhoenix1 for @WomensRightsNet in spring 2023 at PMQs. Since then we've had 5 Health Secretaries, a Supreme Court clarification of The Equality Act 2010, and simple EHRC guidance.
The NHS delay should shame every senior MP who failed to ensure UK law was acted on. womensrights.network/nhs-dat…

The Jewish Chronicle has revealed a heartbreaking story where a Jewish primary school student faced antisemitism from his own teacher.
The boy was attending a state primary school in London where it soon became commonplace for other students to shout "F#ck Israel" and "Free Palestine" in his face.
Like any child, he was confused. What had he done? Why was everyone suddenly being so cruel to him? And so he and his father had a discussion about October 7th and what happened.
The young boy went to his teacher the next day to tell her what he learned about Palestinians attacking Israelis on the 7th. She responded, "Actually, it was the other way around."
He left the conversation thinking Jews had attacked Palestine on the 7th and that Hamas were "freedom fighters." The school refused to respond to the father afterwards, and the boy was transferred to a Jewish school.
This is just one of many stories of parents having to move their Jewish children to Jewish schools, because public schools seem entirely disinterested in dealing with antisemitic bullying, and even enable it.
