Heavenly Father, it’s harvest. Combines are running hard across Nebraska and the whole corn belt and I'm asking you to ride along in every cab. I spend my days watching and trading these markets, and I know how much of a farmer's year gets reduced to a number. Bushels per acre. Moisture at the elevator. A price on a screen they can't control. A line on the banker's spreadsheet. Too many of them carry those numbers home like a verdict on their worth, and I confess I've measured people that way too, by what the year produced instead of who they are. But your word says, "He that believes in him is not condemned." For everyone who trusts your son, the verdict is already in. It isn't the pending scale ticket. It isn't waiting on December futures. It's settled. Let that truth land this morning on some farmer who feels like he's failing his family, his dad, or the ground he was handed. Protect them, Lord. Guard tired hands around augers and PTO shafts. Keep them out of flowing grain bins. Keep trucks steady on gravel roads and two-lane highways. Give alert minds at 2 a.m., and the humility to stop and rest when their bodies say enough. Give them health. Backs and knees that hold up, hearts that stay strong, and the courage to speak up when the weight in their minds gets too heavy to carry alone. Bless their families. The spouse running supper to the field. The kids in the buddy seat learning what faithfulness looks like. The parents who worked this ground first. Draw them closer to each other this fall, not further apart. And whether the bins fill or the yield monitor disappoints, remind every one of them that they belong to you. Not condemned. Not forgotten. Not alone. In Jesus' name, Amen. #dailyprayer✝️

This blew my mind. If every church in the country fostered one child then EVERY child in the foster care system would be taken care of. Wow. Think about that.
