Former President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn Carter, were spotted Saturday at a festival in his hometown of Plains, Georgia.
This outing comes more than six months after the longest lived US president entered hospice care. A few months later it was revealed that the former first lady was diagnosed with dementia.
Jason Carter, chairman of the Carter Center’s Board of Trustees, says the couple is happy. “They are together. They are at home. They’re in love, and I don’t think anyone gets more than that," he said. "I mean, it’s a perfect situation for this time in their lives."
Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter have been married for 77 years and are the longest married presidential couple.

Appreciation post for President Jimmy Carter who, after entering hospice care 7 months ago, is still with us and even made a public appearance today at the Plains Peanut Festival in his hometown, where he is cherished.
President Carter has lived an exemplary life most people could only dream of. He served America in the Navy, where he helped avert nuclear meltdown disaster.
He was a state Senator, then Georgia Governor, and 39th President of the United States of America.
After his presidency, he dedicated the rest of his life to serving humanity by building houses in Habitat for Humanity, and he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
God willing, he will celebrate his 99th birthday in a week. I consider myself lucky to have lived to witness such a good, kind man help so many people.

🚨 BREAKING A newly released poll from Reuters/Ipsos today shows President Biden leading Donald Trump by 5 pts, 44% to 39%.
The media always like to run with polls that aren't favorable to the president. To be fair, they should cover this one with just as much fervor! But again, that wouldn't fit their narrative.
