Per WSJ, Alex Garland’s Elden Ring movie now costs nearly $200M, almost 3x A24’s previous record (Marty Supreme, ~$70M). A24 hasn’t commented.
GTA 6 appears to have its own take on OnlyFans.
According to GTA Wiki, Peekhole is an online content subscription service that appears in GTA VI. It was first spotted in the Extended Look trailer, on a "Make It Rain Mondays" poster outside the Jack of Hearts strip club.
The poster carries a QR code, which currently leads to the official GTA VI website.
The wiki says Peekhole appears to be based on OnlyFans. That is an interpretation, and Rockstar hasn't said anything about it or how the platform works in the game.

Arkane Studios reportedly has until Nov 13 to find a buyer.
According to Le Monde, via Gematsu, that date marks the end of consultations with the studio's works council over its proposed closure. Xbox announced plans to divest Arkane in July, and several forms of takeover are reportedly being considered.
Separately, Microsoft told Le Monde it is "actively seeking a partner to support the next phase of development and enable the commercialization of the" Marvel's Blade project. A union representative said the game is nearing the end of production.
Gematsu notes the information does not come directly from Arkane, and the studio has not confirmed it.

EA is shutting down BioWare, the studio behind Baldur’s Gate, Knights of the Old Republic, Dragon Age and Mass Effect. 💔
BioWare has confirmed it is closing and that early development on the next Mass Effect is ending. EA is also cutting about 400 jobs, roughly 3% of its workforce, according to Bloomberg.
No official reason has been given. Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s 2025 sales have been mentioned in earlier coverage, but none of the reports we read cite them as the cause. Details are still developing.

Resident Evil Movie Gets a PS1-Style Fan Game (Early Prototype)
A fan is building a PS1-style game inspired by Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil movie.
The early prototype shows a snowy barn location where a zombie dog chases the player. The latest update adds death and injury animations, plus sounds for when the character gets hurt. The dog uses the Cerberus model from Resident Evil 2.
The developer says no vibe coding is being used.

PS5 Firmware 14.10 Reportedly Jailbroken: What It Means for GTA 6
PS5 14.10 jailbreak claim: a Lua loader reportedly runs on the latest firmware, and GTA 6 may need that same update. 🎮
Here’s what we know so far:
- A video shared by @qwerty__cs reportedly shows a Lua loader (LuaCore 2.5 by Gezine) running on PS5 firmware 14.10.
- The tool has NOT been released, and a firmware number on a screen is not proof of a working jailbreak. Sony has not commented.
- A datamine reportedly says GTA 6 requires firmware 14.10. That is unconfirmed, and Rockstar has not commented.
- GTA 6 is reported to launch Nov 19, and PSN now requires 14.10 for consoles to connect.
Our take: if a public 14.10 exploit ever appears, it would change the picture for PS5 owners. Until then, treat this as a claim, not a fact.

Samson developer Liquid Swords has gone bankrupt, just six months after releasing its debut crime game. Around 30 employees reportedly went unpaid for at least two months before petitioning to have the studio declared bankrupt.
Behind the studio was Christofer Sundberg, who co-founded Avalanche Studios and co-directed the original Just Cause. He founded Liquid Swords in 2020, but its first release faced a difficult road from development to launch.
Samson was originally envisioned as a much larger action RPG. Funding problems, trouble securing a publisher, and layoffs affecting half the team forced the studio to change direction. The result was a run-based, open-city crime game about a getaway driver trying to repay an enormous mob debt.
When Samson launched in April 2026, mixed reviews, bugs, and technical problems complicated its reception. The team continued working on fixes, with a patch released as recently as October 8. A bankruptcy order followed on October 12.
The most important part of this story isn’t a review score. It’s the people who kept working while reportedly waiting months for their salaries.
There is at least some protection for those affected. According to PC Gamer, their unpaid salaries will now be covered by Sweden’s state wage guarantee. Meanwhile, bankruptcy administrator Cirio Law is seeking a buyer for Liquid Swords and its assets, including Samson, with bidding open until October 21.
Bankruptcy does not mean a buyer has already been found, and Samson’s future remains uncertain. This is a studio up for sale, not a confirmed comeback.

For us, the appeal would be a dark, focused crime thriller with dangerous streets, hard-hitting combat, and missions that make every confrontation feel personal. Give Frank Castle a city worth exploring, not just a map full of icons. Those are our wishlist features, not confirmed gameplay details.
An open world could offer different approaches to taking down criminal operations. But a tighter, story-driven experience could deliver a more intense version of the same fantasy. Bigger wouldn’t automatically mean better.
The important part: UNCONFIRMED. We haven’t independently verified the alleged project, the 2028 window, or the gameplay features being shared alongside the rumor. Treat claims about stealth, safehouses, interrogations, and weapon customization as unverified, not an announced feature list.
