Since 1888 only 12 professional football clubs have gone completely out of business. 3 of them have been during the FFP era. Almost like the system worked fine before it. 💀

Mate do some research. Without FFP we’d have had about 100 more clubs go out of business.

Andy Burnham has DITCHED plans to lift the ban on drinking alcohol in the stands after police warned clubs they would have to cover the cost of any additional policing needed. 🍻 To be honest, the vast majority of going football fans will probably be glad! 👏 Source: @RobHarris

Newcastle and Villa should be asking the same question City did: How the fuck are we supposed to catch clubs with decades of built-up revenue if spending power is tied to the revenue gap we’re trying to close? That isn’t a ladder. That’s a locked door.

Incredibly sad news. We were honoured to welcome Benjamin and his family to St. James’ Park in 2014 and we offer our deepest sympathies to them and all those who loved him. Forever a Geordie 🖤🤍
