“I left the UK in my second year of uni to study jazz in New Orleans on my own. No safety net, no guarantees, just a pull I couldn't explain to anyone. People didn't understand it. But I knew if I wanted to really live the music, I had to go to the source. That same pull took me to Guatemala years later to study sound healing. And then one morning, in a forest, carrying my sound bowl, I finally stopped. No agenda, no performance, just breath. I struck the bowl and something in my body softened in a way it hadn't in a long time. I'd lost my wife. I'd lost my dad. I'd been teaching in schools, running workshops in prisons, giving to students and audiences and projects, and somewhere in all that giving I'd run empty. So I started going live on TikTok every morning from the forest. Just sharing the moment. And day by day, people began to join. Messages came in from people saying they felt calmer, lighter, more grounded, even through a screen. Now I'm a single dad running free sound healing sessions in parks across the UK, no major sponsorship locked in, just doing it anyway because people need this.
