🚨 David Miliband 👏 Brexit was a “unilateral declaration of political impotence” that has left Britain like “a bobbing cork in the sea”.

@DMiliband confirmed what yesterday’s headlines suggested: Burnham’s refusal to rule out reversing Brexit was deliberate.
He says Britain now needs a structured, institutional relationship with Europe that repairs the damage caused by leaving the Single Market and Customs Union and that our European relationship must be transformed by the end of the next Parliament.
Asked whether @andyburnham will deliver this, Miliband replies:
“I do because he has said he will. When Andy says we have got to be bold and ambitious, he doesn’t say things by accident. We should take him at his word.”
Yesterday Burnham left the door open.
Today a former Labour foreign secretary is telling us that he meant to.
This is beginning to look less like speculation and more like the construction of a political mandate to reverse Brexit.

NOBODY at the top of @reformparty_uk thought a by-election win in Clacton would end the witch-hunt. Instead, it allows @Nigel_Farage to say that the people who sent him to Westminster in the first place still want him there. As do millions of others.

When you vote today please remember this election is being held because @Nigel_Farage sought to side step a Parliamentary enquiry into him receiving £5 m and not declaring it.
This is not a David and Goliath battle of Farage vs. the Establishment. It is Farage trying to avoid being held to account.
The various agencies investigating him, Tice and Reform now include the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner, the Electoral Commission, The National Crime Agency, the Metropolitan Police, the FCA and possibly HMRC.
